Rygel, the dressed up fencer fox is ready for inspection!Some people have been drawing my Dendyn Dynasties characters, and so far they've hit a hurdle where there are no easy colour references for them to study. So here's a character sheet of Rygel, since he seems to be the most drawn so far.
I'll be doing one for each character eventually, this only took me half a day, so I should be able to pop them out fairly quickly over the christmas holidays.
Anyway, this is how the stats work:
Strength: obviously it's the character's fighting power and determines how "strong" they are physically.
Speed: this counts for movement speed, attacking speed and agility in general.
Stamina: refers to how quickly the character gets exhausted from physical activity.
Item Storage Capacity: the number of items/weapons the character can store in thier "pockets".
Defense: damage resistance level.
Luck: refers to how lucky a character is.
Skill: evasion, technique, countering ability, critical hit ability.
Special attacks: you get the idea, very powerful, physically taxing moves that usually determine the outcome of a duel and look very flashy in the process.

I love your stuff, and this is a cool character sheet. Rygel is cute and he uses a rapier, which is my faovrite type of sword. Keep up the good work.

anyway I just wanted to say that I hope you copyrighted this stuff becouse I think it far out classes some of the most popular show that are simailar, namely being... Sonic, Digemon(spelling please), Pokemon(Dear God, please let this show die and go away forever... I promise that I will be good from now on... or atleast until Chrismas. lol))

Well all intellectual matierial is automatically copyrighted due to copyright laws anyway, so I think I'm fairly safe for now.

Ok, good thing to know about the copyright laws, couse your vids are awsome, I really can't think of another flash video that is on par with yours.
the only reason I asked about the anime stuff is becouse I'm a fairly good fanfic writer ((I would say great, but just how great can you be for talking someone else idea and twisting it into something new))

Dendyn Dynasties is supposed to be a parody of RPGs, meaning that it would be an anime where game cliches where actually part of the show. Characters get inflicted with status ailments and their damage shows when they get hurt. Things like that. The characters are also completely aware of their stats.

The texture was actually really simple. Photoshop has a tool called "vivid light" brush setting, and it makes things look shiney smooth. I used that and the burn tool instead of my usual cell shading.

Wait about five years and you might just get to...although I'm wondering, if I have these characters on deviantart, will any potential employers ever let me make a commercial game with them? You don't see any of Shigeru Miyamoto's origional Pikmin designs floating around the internet on art sites, do you?
Ah well, I have literally tons of other characters I've been specially witholding from this site, it's just a pity that Dendyn Dynasties turned out to be my favourite series.

although i cant guarantee that you will be able to make game commercials, all i can say is that you have very big potential to make it possible. and its showing a lot.
where i live, manga, animation and entertainment companies are hungry for talents for like yours. its really too bad i have not reached that standard and im going to be working in a few years time after my army training.

what I meant was that I won't be able to make a game COMMERCIALLY as in a proper selling game for a game company such as Nintendo, because these characters are floating around on the net and the hype will be nonexistant.

Yay! A color pic! Even if it does look like bondage stuff, it's much more original than my costumes. Rath wear DOOM style armor over Tiger Stripe camo, Yoshitaka wears a generic ninja suit, Jack wears a kimono, Tatyana wears...well...that. I just cant draw totally awesome looking costumes. It might be because Im utilitarian(I only include things if they have a purpose. A soldier character without body armor of some kind? Forget it.). I dunno.

Hay do you really think that the Dendyn Dynesties series will be good enough to have its own convention like Star Trek and Star Wars? i hope so Rygel is my character!!! and i will go Midieval Times and buy be a real 500$ rapier with a real 24k gold hand guard....oh yea i can imagine that... uaah i need to lose 5 lbs though... my gut is a bit big.... i SPRINT AND JOG 40 miles a week its killing me!!!!! i stopped a long time ago, it doesnt help... it should... i dont eat much....hmmm... hmmm... nope i eat good. greens salads... uaah a Sonic Chili Cheese Cony every once in a while.... hmm

I have no idea. I'm not really all that positive about my future. Hopefully someday I can put these ideas into motion, but for now I'm quite a nobody outside of a small segment of the internet. It needs time before anything can really come out of this.
