Wes showing his Sunset Walk stance to Traveris. Looks like Trav doesn't get it...This is a belated Christmas present for Crackerneko who I still have to do a birthday present for. Granted it has nothing to do with Christmas, but oh well, so far all my Christmas presents have nothing to do with Christmas...I mean, we don't get snow over here, so yeah.
I've only just recently realised just how much these two characters have in common. Both were artificially created by a sorceror figure, both use large oversized swords, both have a name that ends with the letter S and both of them have wings! I want to make it clear that I DID NOT COPY ANY OF THESE IDEAS FROM CRACKER! But still, it's quite a coincidence.
Uh, yeah. The Sunset Walk is Wes's only stance. He has three variations, retreating step, advancing step and angle step. They really aren't anything special, just Wes walking in a certain direction while holding his sword behind or in front of him. The big deal is that the huge blade covers his body and his movement makes it awquard for enemies to strike him, they are forced to advance. If they don't advance, he simply moves into his preferred fighting range, which is beyond most attackers reach anyway.
Happy late Christmas, Crackerneko! I couldn't wait for your note, so I just gave Traveris jeans. If the colours are wrong, just tell me and I'll change them, it's no hassle. He was super fun to draw in Dendyn style.

More extreme cuteness. Love the little fluff of fur on the chest of Travaris for some weird reason. Nice ears too. Wes has a very nice poofy tail. The reflections of the pilished swords are great. Like the little ball on the end of Wes's.
Wes looks remarkably like the fursona of one jamesstarrunner.

I like the characters that is ruthless and takes action before thinking!
Plus I LOVE big blades(Reminds me of Cloud, which who is my favorite character also!)!!!

Actually, I have recently realised that he does have similar qualities to Cloud. However, I have never played FF7, so I can safely say that I had no intention of ripping from that character.

Yeah, I'm sorry about that. Wes is quite some way off from getting a profile, but at least this is a good reference. He is blue, and there's a story behind his blueness. His sister Rhianna is also blue as they are both artificial creations devised by the weasel alchemist Fitch who transformed them from normal squirrels, giving them perfect bodies and perfect beauty (by his standards, anyway). Rhianna stayed obediantly with her creator learning to be an alchemist while Wes became power hungry and escaped to pursue even more power. He's freindly and good-natured but also incredibly dangerous. Everyone in Dendyn has devided opinions of whether he's a villain or a good guy. Locke thinks he's no good but Rygel has a subtle respect for him. San and Kerro think he's just misunderstood.

Aww, the char on the left is soooo cute. XD I actually think the background is quite pretty, particularly the cool pattern at the bottom. I've noticed your lineart's better with the tablet too :3

Traveris is a very cute character. I love Crackerneko's characters, they all look so sleek and cuddly. Oh man yes...that tablet...it looks like I've done the lineart in Flash. And the pattern at the bottom was the result of me getting tired of trying to come up with a good background. I just started swirling and thought "what the hey. I'll just do something frooty and abstract and hope it works."

The only thing I don't like about Flash is how it bends your lines to make them smoother.. I used to draw in it, but have long since moved on from those days. XD
