I guess that the other thing I miss about version 1...

That would have to be the thing that both doubles as a progress bar and a spectrum analyzer.

That thing was really handy to find a specific part of the song if you hadn't had it memorized.

If you could shrink it down from how large it was in v1 and perhaps include it in a small "now playing" area in the bottom of the screen somewhere that could work well.

Could do without that little exit button on the lower right, too. Seems redundant.

Damn, I like this version alot better than the 1st one, much better layout, none of those annoying automatic memory playlists...

But the mp3 tagging and art finder don't work .

I wouldn't oppose this version also having the visualizer and the CD selector in particular, either, but the mp3tagger app and the album art app are the most important nonworking feature to me right now.

All in all, tons of potential. If you've given up on this, or know a link to somebody who's continued this work, please let me know.

I like your theme, it's very useful compared to the other pretty playlists that people make. Your is far more useful because your library actually works!

Anyways, some constructive criticism. The search bar is tiny and out of place. It would look nice just above the "Find Your Files" panel. It would also be located with the other filtering tools.

The add location and add folder, would it be possible to merge these two into one button?

On the left side menu bar, you have "Now Playing" but it is non functional, also just on top near the "File" tab you have "Playing" which does work. What is the "Now Playing" supposed to do?

you know, I'm running 1.1 in standard installation. I tried to install 1.0.3 in portable mode to test your skin but I believe there is a conflict with existin standrd installation that makes impossible to load foo_uie_wsh_panel_mod.dll...

ANy ideas to keep existing 1.1 standard installation ??? Thanks

Für die Final muss ich mich erst noch mit Scripten befassen. JScript um genau zu sein. Soll ja was gescheites werden. Also Geduld. Sie kommt.

Nice looking theme but think I need help. Followed install instruction to the letter, "I have portable foobar 1.03" but "File" and "Playing" tabs don't appear. Can anyone help?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

monkeYB07 In reply to Fyn7 [2010-08-21 14:42:29 +0000 UTC]

Make sure you have a file called "libpng13.dll" inside your foobar home folder. Normally this should be present on your computer somewhere but maybe its missing and thus the png files cannot be displayed ? Try using dll-files.com as a source to download the library. Other than that try to install foobar as usual. Maybe some portable settings get mixed up. Also if that doesnt help and you're using vista or seven check and delete foobar profile folder under C:\Users\AppData\Roaming" Hope that helps

Nice theme, I like it, except the prev-pause-play-next buttons. They should have been designed for a bit more then it will become a great skin!

Maybe I did something wrong, but the title bar does not show the complete song title. See here:

Nice config!

monkeYB07 In reply to hawk [2010-08-21 14:45:42 +0000 UTC]

I scripted the title bar to resize itself to fit perfectly to each song title. If one is toooooo long I set a limit to cut it down depending on how big the window size is so it does not overlap with the spectrum. I am working on a better solution. Meanwhile you could play around a bit with the font size settings deep inside the panel script if you know how to...

Btw I wonder why the title bar is all black on your screen. I seems as if you are using vista or seven but it shows opaque. Did you manage to fix that ?

Little Clipboard menu/button tends to have the little script error occasionally (usually on startup) Maybe because there's nothing in the properties? idk just assuming stuff

When using Marc2003's Last.fm playcount and love button scripts, you get additional Last.fm data in the tracks properties. Could that data be displayed in the extended info area rather than the jibberish that's there now? I was able to get the script working, display playcounts and add a love button but I have no idea how to output the Last.fm data to that extended info window. Just an idea.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

monkeYB07 In reply to Cablespider [2010-07-28 17:47:18 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I know about the info. Just wanted to put in some additionals for people who wanna know such things. Personally I dont use that either. If it is a script that you are talking about it is easy to use. Simply do a right click on the extended info pane choose config and replace the script that's there with yours.

monkeYB07 In reply to monkeYB07 [2010-07-28 17:48:23 +0000 UTC]

By doing so you could use any type of script that you want.

Nice looking skin but I cant get the buttons to show up for me... I followed the directions and imported the xml but they do not show... I am running Windows 7 and the latest stable version of foobar..

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

monkeYB07 In reply to clarencewashingtonjr [2010-07-28 17:38:45 +0000 UTC]

If you have foobar as a standard program installed to lets say C:\Program files/foobar it creates another set of folders in c:\users\appdata\roaming\foobar which holds your config. I noticed that sometimes things can become screwed if you use your own configuration and not copy my folder over to the roaming\foobar\configuration folder. Maybe try a new setup for my skin as a portable installation and test the import with this. Tell me if that works

Oh and if you mean the buttons on the left bar....They are context sensitive. So you need to import your library folder first and also play a file to make some of them appear as they only work while you are playing files. Foobar internal stuff..

clarencewashingtonjr In reply to monkeYB07 [2010-07-29 03:40:33 +0000 UTC]

I was actually referring to all of the buttons on the right side of the window... The playlist, filterview, and browser buttons... Also the skipback, pause, and skipforward buttons dont show, nor do i see any tabs at the top.

Hey Brett ... I'm honored you threw an eye on this. I was trying to learn from your Tech skin...but no chance. It simply is too advanced to get someone started...but maybe you could help me with a custom menu which I try to achieve. It's not like the usual fb.menumanager but rather a popup bitmap triggered by a button with more imagebuttons inside. I'm really stuck with that.
