I've been experimenting with Mello and Matt and I wanted to do something stylized. I was inspired mostly by the work of Jamie Hewlett, the artistic genius behind Tank Girl and Gorillaz. The pose I was going for was something akin to the super-slouchy, awkward poses he draws so well. I also wanted to do a super-flat cartoon face with some textured element so that the mix was a little strange....

I also could not decide on drawing Mello's mafia coat from the anime, or his biker jacket from the manga, so I just combined them both to create this monstrosity that you see before you.

I like: the BELT BUCKLE, the clothes

I hate: the hair (what's new), the pose (I am no Hewlett)

I consider everything a work in progress, so comments and suggestions are always welcome:

Fingerprints will prove that you couldn't pass the test
