May 2012 edit: I re-did some of the lineart and change up the colours. I was never really satisfied with the original (it's still on my tumblr for archival purposes: [link]Link entering the very first silent realm.
When I first entered this place, it was all ethereal and glowy and I was like "woaaah coool...", But of course I had no idea about the horror and frustration awaiting me in that vile place D: (although I found Silent Realms to be way less scary once you are caught for the first time....but they were still always bloody stressful).

Ermehgawd, I hated the silent realms. When I first played Skyward Sword, I literally went through it THIRTEEN times. Those Guardians scare me shitless.
It is so pretty with his spirit leaving his body though. I love it.

Hm... I'm stuck on whether I like the one on tumblr or this one more. There's some elements of the old one that I really like. Particularly, I actually like the grey lineart from before. I think removing the hand is definitely a big point in favour of the new version, though. It's beautiful either way!

I appreciate your input! I wasn't too sure about the new lineart either, but I made it lighter due to the "green" ness that I added to it. Grey would have ended up blending in too much, haha

I knowsies, right? Pre-game release, I had established an elaborate and logical theory that the Silent Realm as a place of spiritual growth involved more insight into Link's character development where we would witness him understand and accept his past, future, hate, love, and mature from a mere boy to a strong, young man.
Instead: Grab these sparkly doodads while not dying a heart attack, lols.

How you drew link with the light lineart, not only signifying the element but the feel of him but that he's coming out of his body all non-linear like.

The silent realms are special "trial areas" that Link must complete at certain points of the game. He spirit temporarily leaves his body in order to complete them...it's a really cool concept!

I like the music in the first slient realm
yeah the first time I played I didn't know at first that the white lantern spirits you had to avoid so when one first spotted me my eyes widen luckily for me that there was a tear nearby

I like the idea of the Silent Realms, but I just don't understand why this had to be done in a limited time. (I hate stuff in limited time it's too stressful.)
In the spirit world all should be calm and peaceful, you shouldn't have to rush to do things, I don't find that logical.

I get how it's all supposed to be a trial, but something about seeing all those guardians in such a tranquil space is weird! Plus it's like, why is the Goddess so mean, giving me all this stress?
