Description I recently when to the movies and saw 300. Great movie, good fights and visualy it's magnificent.

Historically I know it's not where near good, like most movies of hiw kind in hollywood, there are many things changed to the benefit of the plotline. One of the things than bother me the most was the line:

"Tonight we dine in hell"...

I know, it's catchy, sound great, it's cool, and get's to the point, but...

They are Greeks, there is not such a thing as hell in there. There is "HADES" which is both the God and the Underworld (all dead people go to the same place, no heven, no hell). So I look it up and yes...

Leonidas doens't say "Tonight we dine in hell", he say "Tonight we dine in Hades"

So... this is what would have happend if the movie was historically acurant

For those who doesnt' get it.. hades say "first hercules, now his family" because spartans believed they where the descendants of hercules himself.

Hercules was Roman... everyone's thinking of HERACLES (translation being litteraly enemy of Hera)

I have yet to see 300, but I believe it is something worthy to watch.

And I don't expect much of 300's historical accuracy...
