Hmmm... i‘m not sure which texture you mean. I usually apply noise to my images to get rid of the clean digital look... maybe that‘s what you mean?

It is, if you want an easy way to make your work appear more finished than it actually is xD noise kind of pretends to be texture.

I gotta ask. Which noise settings/filters do you use - I just went looking through the tabs and I couldn't find a setting that produced a similar quality. 
Do you use Photoshop?

Yes, i am using photoshop, and i just use the regular filter>noise>add noise filter, BUT there‘s a catch - i never apply the noise directly on the image. Instead, i create a new layer at the very top of my layer hierarchy, fill it with 50% brightness and 0% stauration, apply the noise to that layer and set it to overlay. Since the layer averages at the 50% grey we filled it with, it turns invisible when set to overlay, and only the noise shows through. The advantage of doing it this way is that you can set the strength of the effect using the opacity slider of the layer instead of trying to get it right directly when applying the filter. You can also paint below the noise now and dont have to wait until the very end of the painting to apply the noise. You can even apply the noise in the drawing stage already!

I'm not that hyped for some reason... not a huge fan of the idea of romance for toothless. But the movie definitely looks awesome!
