Thank you ... and yes I think anyone like us whom has ever drawn a crow or raven has read that xD It's as though it were required. o.O

Haha well it is a great poem . I have never been able to draw ravens, or any bird actually... How did you do it so well???

This one?  Well this only took like 20 minutes since the little guy is in shadow.  I did it with charcoal so it was really easy-- just got the shape down, shaded it down, darkened or lightened according to the reference.  White charcoal is literally the best thing ever xD

Awesomesauce lol usually when I use charcoal it gets everywhere >_< I have a couple okay charcoal drawings, but most end up all smudged and crappy haha

MonsieurJack95 In reply to ennailaughter [2013-11-30 02:25:10 +0000 UTC]

Well I like to use a pencil first to get the basic sketch down-- that or vine since it's like dust.  Compressed charcoal is less forgiving but I like it for certain things-- shadows, larger drawings, and generally darker thingies. But erasers are just so beautiful :') I daresay I'm in love xD

haha I will just have to keep working with it until I get it down I guess although I usually prefer drawing with pens, or writing poetry

MonsieurJack95 In reply to ennailaughter [2013-11-30 02:41:02 +0000 UTC]

Ooh I don't like pens.  Talk about unforgiving xD Poetry is not my thing but to each his/her own I prefer just writing prose if anything.

ennailaughter In reply to MonsieurJack95 [2013-11-30 02:46:41 +0000 UTC]

I've gotta practice with pens because I want to be a tatoo artist and I can't write prose at all.

MonsieurJack95 In reply to ennailaughter [2013-11-30 03:05:25 +0000 UTC]

Well I can't write poetry at all so not to worry xD

And ah yes well yes, makes sense.  Too bad tattoo artists can't use erasers O: lol I couldn't do without them-- 1 because I'm careless, 2 because they're so bloody useful!

I hate erasers...they leave marks all over the paper >_< it bugs my OCD to death. Haha

Hmm... I don't find they do... gotta clean em every now and then to keep em fresh!

ennailaughter In reply to MonsieurJack95 [2013-11-30 22:35:56 +0000 UTC]

Lol how do u clean an eraser?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MonsieurJack95 In reply to ennailaughter [2013-11-30 22:43:32 +0000 UTC]

Well you know-- just get rid of all the graphite and stuff on it till it's pink.  I'll rub it against my arm or on a table or a dirty piece of paper... then it erases as completely as it can. :3 No smudging.
