Whirl's mother acceidentally damaged a large portion of her tail when trying to save Whirl and her sibling from their father (the father tiger was being too aggtresive and the mother grabbed both of her cubs, trying to save them. Unfortunately, Whirl's tail was lost in the process). Whirl doesn't seem to mind the loss of her tail though. She is actually the most active and happy tiger I've seen in captivity
