But Shadow is a real life music artist that has been performing in and around the Chicago Area for years now.

they're visual novel games, more reading than gameplay, if you google images "zero 999" you'll see why it reminds me of him

well, Shadow existed before Romantically Apocalyptic was even born

I didn't know that.
Not much later I think the first RA appeared (2007/2008 or so), when he had enough stock and footage he could use for his photo comic. Guess it was a really long planned project, he once said he's been collecting stock for 5 years or more.
Anyways... I checked out that STMA on youtube a while ago, looked promising at first so I looked at all the videos...
They said it's gonna be a web series, which got me excited but I couldn't find any sort of comic or actual series anywhere. Did they stop working on the project for some reason?
On the channel they only made a few 1 minute long and one bigger video yet, but I didn't really find it that satisfying to be honest, and I kept waiting for the Shadow person to pop up in that long video but that didn't actually happen, only the Fox&Owl chicks and some random baddies. (yeah I know he/she appeared in 1 or 2 of the vids for like two seconds once)
Is Shadow maybe some sort of boss who commands other people but never shows up himself? Perhaps you know more than I. *is slightly confused*
I liked the owl person thought, the mask is really cute and it's a funny idea to use animal masks in an apocalyptic show (if it is one, cuz I saw people running around without any sort of gas masks, which only makes more confusion... xD)

The Shadow the Machine Angel web series was put on hold due to some financial issues, plus Shadow (the music producer/artist) is focusing more on live shows than on web content right now I believe. The web series is still in production though (but just going at a slower pace than planned, because some of the producers dropped out of the initial project unfortunately). :\
And Shadow (the character) is the one that produces the music, and performs at live events and venues. Shadow's more of a mysterious figure that lets all of the other characters take center stage (although admittedly, I believe Shadow should get more face time, I definitely agree - but that's not my call to make
And yes, I totally tuned in on Alexiuss' interview and learned a lot about RA and the time it takes him to create his comic. He is a gifted and a dedicated guy with a great vision.

Yup! Being an urban explorer and a fan of apocalyptic books and art myself, I really look up to him as an idol, using my own stock photos and ideas for all sort of fan-art. ^^ Already got featured countless times, which is always a big motivation to go on.

This mask was actually custom made by myself and my production partner. The bottom half of the mask was just purchased at a home improvement store. It is a painter's mask. It originally came with 2 large cylindrical filters attached to it, but we just removed those. The top half of the mask is my pair of goggles. They are Vintage German goggles (worn by bike messengers during WWII).

We actually customized this mask
The bottom half is just a painter's mask that we purchased at a home improvement store (we removied the cylindrical filters so that it wouldn't be so bulky).
The goggles are separate. Those were just something I've had in my personal collection. They are WWII replicas (worn by German bike messangers during the war).

Shadow is a music producer and performer. DJ's mix other people's music. Shadow occasionally does DJ work, but most of the time Shadow creates his own music.

well... I get A LOT of comments. None of them are negative or accusatory (at least not that I've noticed). A lot of people just get excited and say "hey! It's Mr Snippy!". I honestly had no idea who Mr Snippy was until someone left the first comment saying Shadow looked like Snippy.
So, I did my research and discovered what is called "Romantically Apocalyptic." I haven't had the time to sit down and read it or anything, so I still have no idea what it's truly about. But I do enjoy the artwork
One of my jobs is actually being Shadow the Machine Angel's manager. So, life can be pretty darn hectic 
Great minds think alike though I guess, huh?
