This is the 48th piece in my Industrial Heart collection, entitled, Robotic Artifice.Like most of my Industrial Hearts, this piece starts with an anatomically correct human heart made from polymer clay - the base. With all of the components of a real human heart, it has also been made to look metallic and Industrial with its panelling and rivets. Gears, metal findings, and other various things are also added.
Simply put, I wanted to do something robot inspired. There is a lot I want to do. So hopefully this adds to the list of the things I have wanted to do and have finally done. I think it does.
The entire thing has been antiqued with black acrylics to give it an aged and used feel. As always, there is a stainless steel loop in the back which will be attached to a keyring style jump ring and strung onto a necklace.
