The Philamaloo is colored all sky blue, so that it's indistinguishable when it flies overheard, and its wings are see-through, like glass. It weighs hardly anything and is only about an inch-and-a-half in length; it can fit comfortably in the palm of your hand with a lot of room to spare. The bird also seems to have an unusual way of living, for it flies everywhere upside-down, and in fact does everything upside-down. It even makes its nest on the underside of branches, because the eggs are so fragile and weightless that if they fall out, they fall UP, into the sky and away. Strangely, though, when a Philamaloo dies, its body does come down to earth, and its corpse will be as delicate as the thinnest of glass, and will crumble if handled too roughly.

This Critter often gets mixed up with the Goofus . It also has two very different physical descriptions, so I kind of mixed them together: either it's a crane-like bird with 'bare legs', or it's a small songbird colored in sky blue and with see-through wings. So mine has a longer bill and legs like a crane and the rest of songbird.
