Here's my 5th miniature for World Watercolour Month, really enjoyed doing this one, a lighthouse at sunset and this time it's from my own imagination and not from one of my photos! It measures just 8 x 8.5cm, on 'The Langton' rough finish 300gsm paper, using pigma micron fineliners in black and sepia, and my Daler Rowney Aquafine pocket watercolour set using gold Taklon brushes, plus lots of salt for the spume effect. Painting time approx 30minutes, although this time I had to do it in stages to make sure the salt had dried on etc so it may have been longer, but I was enjoying myself so didn't care! πRelated content
