Hayoung was sitting on a park bench, her knees pulled up to her chest as she had a fairly large sketch book resting on them. At the moment, she was drawing the snow covered trees not too far before her. As she looked back up at her subject matter, she noticed a girl that looked around her age. The girl seemed. . .lost maybe? She had never seen her before so maybe she was new. Before Hayoung even thought a second more, she shot her hand up and waved it in the girl's direction, "안녕하세요 (Hello)! Are you new here?" Hayoung called with a smile on her lips.

Juniper had been wondering through town, trying to get acquainted with her new home. She trudged through the ankle deep snow, head lifted up to watch fresh flakes fall from the sky when she heard a voice calling out to her. She spotted the cute little Korean girl seated at a bench, a book open in her lap. The girl was smiling and waving at her and June immediately donned a warm smile and made her way over. "Hello there." she said, "actually yes, I'm new here. Is it that obviously?" she laughed lightly as she brushed snow off the bench and took a seat, smoothing out her dress as she did so.

Hayoung scooted over a little bit, as she and her backpack was taking up most of the bench, "A little bit," She chuckles, "My name's Hayoung~ Your dress is adorable by the way!" The small girl grins and holds out the hand that isn't covered in charcoal smudges.

Juniper squeaks in surprise when she feels somebody pump into her. "Oof, sorry!" she turns around quickly, giving the person an apologetic smile, "I shouldn't be standin' around when other people got places to be!"

Oakley had his nose deep in a book when all of a suddenly he walked into someone. He was about to glare at the one who caused him to loose his place, but when he saw who he bumped into it stopped him N his tracks. Man that girl is cute, but Oakley didn't show it on his face, nah instead he just kept his normal pokerface expression rested on it instead. "...'s fine.." A slightly thick British accent spilled from his lips.

June couldn't help the little pout that appeared on her face when the boy didn't smile back at her, however she perked up significantly when she heard his voice. "Are you British? That's super neat!" She beams. June sticks out her plump little hand for him to shake. "My name is Juniper, it is very nice to meet you."

He looked at her delicate hand and gave it a gentle shake. "Oakley it's a..pleasure-" Oakley didn't really mean go be rude, it just started to become a natural reaction. Of course she asked about his accent, he wasn't really annoyed by the tedious question, instead he found it amusing that it tends to be the first thing people notice. "Ah..yeah..I'm from London..." He poke in a quiet and slightly monotone voice.

"That's quite somethin'" she grins at him, "what's a Londoner doin' in these parts? Though to be fair, I myself am from Louisiana." Without a second thought, she takes Oakley's hand in her own tiny one and pulls him over to a nearby bench, making him sit down before she herself does. She smooths out her dress and looks at him expectantly.

He was a little shocked by how forward she was. Not many people wanted to converse with someone like him so he felt a little flustered. Oakley looked at her and blinked his green eyes, observing the girl who say next to him, she didn't really seem like the one to trick him or just pretend to like him. " We moved here because my parents wanted a fresh start.."

Juniper folded her hands on her lap and listened to him intently. She was all smiles when he told her way and then a little frown appeared on her lips. "That doesn't sound very good..." June was an incredibly confident and forward person, but she would never purposefully do anything to hurt another person. She wasn't sure if she should ask the real reason why he moved so she simply bit her lip. She reached out and took one of his in her own, holding it tightly and smiling in a reassuring manner. "You can talk to me if you want, sugar. I'm a mighty good listener..."

Oakley actually let out a small chuckle and looked at her, amused by her reaction. "You are quite a forward lady Juniper..we moved because we did want a fresh start...I got kicked out of a few private and public schools.." He kicked a rock that was near his foot and frowned slightly. "I caused too many fights..school didn't like it-" He really didn't mind telling people about why he was kicked out, it was his fault in the first place. Besides, if the various sized scars on his body didn't give it away he didn't have the best of temper. But this was actually strange, the way she talked to him, he just felt...comfortable around her.

Juniper tilted her head to the side curiously as she listened to him. "And particular reason you got into so many fights...?" she asked softly, stroking the pad of her thumb over a particularly large scar on the back of his hand. She bit her lip nervously, hoping she wasn't overstepping too many boundaries. Her mother often told her she had no tact, and she really didn't. She didn't know what was considered too 'private' and what was okay to ask, etc, etc. She just never understood the concept, so she was particularly worried she was gonna drive this boy off with her big mouth before she even had a chance to make friends with him.

He flinched slightly at the contact and felt his cheeks heat up. Oakley wasn't really used to girls touching him, but it felt nice, even though she's touching a spot where a shard of glass got stuck. "....I don't like fuckers who don't know how to keep their mouth shut about their wealth." He just felt so strange, sure he's spilled this story before but he's never really told a girl, most girls were afraid of him when they saw what he could do.

June's lips quirked up into a sardonic little smile, "well that's alright, sugar, the extent of my wealth is a second-hand car I bought myself. If rich people aren't your taste, I think we'll get along just fine... just don't know why you'd wanna go and muck up such a pretty face for that..." she sighed, reaching up and lightly trailing her fingertips over a scar that cut through Oakley's left eyebrow. Realizing what she had done, she jerked her hand back and brought it to her lips nervously. "S-sorry, I grew up in a touchy-feely Southern family... if I ever overstep me boundaries, please tell me, honey. Last thing I want is to make you uncomfortable." She laughs lightly.

He gently took her wrist and put it back on his face. "No...it felt nice..." He didn't smile but his tone was sweet and slightly flustered. "Your hands are really soft..." Oakley looked at her face and tilted his head slightly. "My mum always said I had quite the temper...I don't like when people try ans hurt the things I care about...a guy messed with my sister and he walked away with a broken nose and sprained wrist..." He said it so casually but his tone had a tinge of regret.

A warm smile appeared on Juniper's lips and she lightly brushed the pad of her thumb across his cheek. Something about this boy drew out her motherly nature. She couldn't fight the urge to smother him with affection. "That was very sweet of you to protect your sister, Sugar Pie." She said with a soft smile. "Sometime people don't learn there lesson unless you beat it into them, sorry to say, but it's true." She frowns, "now I don't agree with purposely hurtin' people who done nothin' to you, but I do believe in punishment when it's needed." She shrugs.

A visible blush spread along his emotionless face. "Aye...apparently boys in private schools don't like people who get in cause they're smart..." He subconsciously put a hand on hers. "Plus it actually feels pretty nice to actually beat someone who deserves it.." His eyes widened and he quickly looked away. "I mean...just...Nevermind-" Oakley internally swore and bit the inside of his cheek,his grumpy attitude returning. He shouldn't talk this way in front of a girl.
