I tried it lots of times before it actually worked for me. A dear lady ,Jean Comport, taught me lots of light bulb tricks. Her work is great,are you familiar with her?

I would only collect them and never use them for anything. I feel guilty when I throw them away.

I know what you mean. I have quite a collection of them myself, some people save them for me and I just don't have the heart to tell them that I don't need anymore. So my collection just keeps growing.
