Here's my contest entry for the Be My Valentine Contest at the IchiRuki FC at Bleach Asylum. Here's my take on one of the suggested themes in the rules: What's Rukia's plan for the day of hearts?

Putting Ichigo in an unflattering dress for the Valentines Renaissance Ball, that's what XD

I understand Rukia as a person concocting really out-there ideas that Ichigo will never like. Plus it gives me a reason to put Rukia in a nice outfit as well.

Because of the rules, this was turned into a three-page mini-doujin. My initial page layout went over 20, and I spent a bigger part of my time finding a way to condense it. That means 80% of what I intended to draw didn't make the cut (as it included stuff before the ball, random stuff. etc.). You will notice that panel count per page is 8 or 9 at least, which I find rather cramped and cluttered. It was a good challenge anyhow, so I felt really grateful after abridging it.

Lineart is pretty easy, but I found putting tones pretty epic, as this is my first time doing so. Working on Photoshop also meant endless layers for the speech balloons and text jfhasdfh. Otherwise, it was a pretty fun experience, something I'd look forward to doing more in the future (ie. my YGO doujinshi /o/)
