Hello there~
Been swamped with loads of work, and I'm losing lots of sleep over making props for our upcoming Dissidia Final Fantasy cosplay.
But all in all, a pretty good time, and time well-spent as well o/ For the meantime, I took a quick breather and entered this for a contest over at Bleachness . The theme is Love and Food, so I thought June is associated with weddings, and I decided to incorporate that as a secondary theme to the picture. Check it out on LJ: [link]
Featuring my one and only Bleach OTP, IchiRuki
I used a clean and simple lineart, and then made use of pastel colors to complement the whole mood and feel of the image. Colored in Adobe Photoshop 7.0. The colors were originally flats, but seeing that I was pressed for time, I polished it up for submission. So in a sense, it's still a work-in-progress. 
At first I was apprehensive at the final result, since my monitor at home has a retarded calibration, and I could not get it to adjust -__- I'm just glad it turned out okay whew~ So I guess it's high time to buy a new monitor, or a new PC for that matter asdfghjklkdsjf

SO pretty, dear *___________*! I must admit in shame - I haven't watched Bleach, but I love your artwork for it. From what I've heard, Riku and Ichigo are quite the lovely characters 
I also think the "flat" style of coloring suits the pic very well. It's simple all right, but it's .. "pure" too, so it goes with the theme of the picture.

Re: Bleach - it's a pretty good series, although I suggest you read the manga since the story flow isn't hindered by fillers that are so rampant and abundant in the anime version. But yes, Ichigo and Rukia, in most respects, is a fan favorite. Their bond is very special, and a lot of us are just waiting for that moment when the cows come home and they'll be together 
And wah, thanks for the comments! I'm glad the flat coloring style served its purpose well, even though it's kind of half-assed and half-finished D: Lol I hope I win a prize or something haha XDD

I'm gladly taking your suggestions. I still can't really get myself to dig through 100+ episode of the Bleach anime, so I really wanna try the manga. Huzzah for Shounen-Jump series!
So you're still planning on working on the colors of this pic? As I said, I like the "flat" tones, but I'd be -of course- still interested in the pimped version
