Description
Princess Ebere ("Mercy") of the Dew pride was banished for the events following her refusal to marry a royal from an ally pride. Born as the last of 6 sisters she never had a claim to the throne and like many of her sisters she was to be married off in the hopes of strengthening alliances and making her pride more powerful.

The dew pride resided in the dry, low-lying savannahs and earned their name from their morning habit of licking the dew from bushes and blades of grass as rain was rare and there were no waterholes within their borders. Their territory was poor in resources but they were genetically gifted. Members of the pride had a large muscular build and coats of varying golden shades, making them experts at stealth and hunting in the dry, grassy expanse of their home. Other prides would soon take notice of their power and would scramble to form alliances by offering allegiance through the tying of royal bloodlines and gifts in varying forms. And so the pride grew in power, numbers and influence and their descendants became many.

Which brings us to Ebere's generation. Being born as a royal to such a prosperous pride had it's benefits. Ebere and her sisters lacked nothing. In fact, they were so well taken care of that for them, hunting was not so much a necessity as it was a sport and they lived vainly in the lap of luxury. That was until their contributions towards the pride's development was decided. The eldest was of course chosen as heir and the second and third born were to remain with the pride for support and as advisors (as was customary). This left the final 3 princesses to be betrothed, which wasn't necessarily a stepdown as the 4th born was to wed the heir of a nearby pride to become a queen consort, and the 5th born was betrothed to a prince (one more distant from kingship but a prince nevertheless) but Ebere the 6th princess, arguably got the short end of the stick as she was to solidify a relatively new alliance between her pride and one that had recently risen to power and did not even have an established name. On a visit to the territory she saw that their numbers were few and that in order to sustain the pride everyone had to hunt, she was taken aback by the conditions she was to marry into and on her return she almost begged her parents to break of the engagement, compared to her sisters her future seemed mundane....almost disgraceful for a royal of her standing and she thought it was unfair.

Her parents understood her disappointment but were unable to sway the situation in her favour as the agreement was final and though the pride on the other end of the engagement was small they had potential to be troublesome if disrespected by a broken off agreement. So Embere was told she would just have to make do, as she wouldn't be abandoned, she would still have the support of her family and original pride.

Despite knowing this, Embere was enraged, she had hardly been refused anything in her life and now she had almost no control over her future. She held her tongue for the time being, but in the next meeting between her and her betrothed's parents she loudly voiced her displeasure. Her parents were of course appalled and embarrassed by her behavior and after several apologies and a rushed dismissal of the meeting they gave her an earful, though all the frustrated princess could hear was; "duty this, you have to do this and that, and how could you lose your composure, etc, etc". Feeling overwhelmed she ran away from her parents but bumped into two of her sisters, who had heard the commotion. They tried to calm her down, telling her that she was overreacting and that her life would not be so bad, but this was not what Ebere wanted to hear and in a fit of misdirected anger she attacked her nearest sister, severely scarring her in the process.

Ebere was banished shortly after, stripped of her title, she wandered between territories avoiding resident prides. She knew to keep a low profile as a banished princess, as no matter how powerful she once was, she would be fair game without the support of a pride. She travelled farther and farther away from the life she'd known, lingering in places only to eat or rest. Eventually she came upon a place where the scent of lions was faint, even though the lands were teeming with prey. She explored a bit making sure this wasn't already claimed land and couldn't find any markers, or guards, in fact it seemed that the only lions that passed through were pride-less rogues. She was finally able to let her guard down and decided to relax on a rather stunning vantage point, a bare-faced, near-collapsed rock monument. From there, she could see out for miles and feeling tired she dozed off.

She awoke to rustling beneath her and sprang to her feet, looking down she saw curious lions looking up at her, and she had barely registered that when she realized that some of them had already snuck up behind her, she spun to face them snarling with fangs bared, in a panic she cursed herself for not being more thorough in her investigations, this land clearly already belonged to a pride and she was trespassing! She tensed for a fight but soon calmed a bit as the other lionesses and lions made no moves to attack, in fact they seemed curious about her and...friendly?

AAAAnd the rest is up to you in her redesign i figured she would make a rather interesting ancestor of the pridelands and above are her origins and how she came upon the lands. (she could also explain where mufasa got his bug guy genes from XD)

I've decided to make this an OTA as im not sure of pricing for her: I'll be back tomorrow and the day after to check for any interest (after which i'll close her as an adopt and accept the offer i like best. (i'll accept, points, currency and art trades))
