Admittedly, there are no dolphins in the picture. :< I couldn't figure out where to put any! I had no real plan when I first sketched this picture, so... yeah.

Well, it's Sunday! You know what that means~ Today I get to color in whichever sketch was favorited the most, and it just so happens that Tifa won. She was second most-favorited last week, so I guess not much has changed since then.

Anyway... I did the usual; increased the size and inked it before coloring. That took longer then I thought it would... but then came the coloring. Unlike I usually do I painted the background first before I started laying down the base colors. I figured it would help me keep the colors I chose even. I immediately started painting waves... which I'm actually really happy with. They were fun to make~

It took me about 5 hours or so just to color everything... I tried to stay as close to the original design as possible, though I couldn't replicate the colored pencil-like texture used in the official art (instead I just added some noise to the clothes for texture). I made lots of mistakes too since I kept coloring on the lineart layer. *facepalm* I had to do lots of cleaning up and fixing since Open Canvas doesn't have infinite undo...

Overall though I'm happy with how this came out. There are a few things I would have changed in the original sketch, but meh. Good enough, yo. It's freaking TIFA.
