New ref for Juliet because I strongly dislike her old design
Wanted to give her less repulsive hair
and patterned nylons
So here she is

Name: Juliet Knox
Age: 15
Location: Bickersteth, a fictional old-fashioned Victorian city filled with old-fashioned people.
Personality: Daring, adventurous, smart, moody, creative, morbid, funny (has a dark sense of humor).
Likes: Ghost-hunting, science, Italian food, black, spikes, biology, pranking.
Dislikes: Being ladylike/mannerly, classical music, garish colours, following rules.
Other: Juliet lives in a very old town filled with very old houses and very old-fashioned people. Her family is very rich and lives in an old Victorian mansion called the Kernaghan house. She lives with her mother, father and sister Maria.

[Whoa whoa whoa stop the bus. Maria is nothing like Juliet, how can they possibly be related? They aren't even of the same race!]

Well, both of Juliet's parents are prim and proper and elegant. Maria, adopted at a young age (hence her non-Japanese name) does her best to do as her parents say as she is always seeking her adopted mother and father's approval. She wears what they tell her to wear, acts how they tell her to act. She does enjoy being elegant and feminine as her parents say, but also looks up to her sister and likes to hang out with her, which makes her feel torn.

Juliet was never what her parents wanted her to be. She was rebellious and strange, and no matter what her parents did they could not make her the little girl they wanted. When they tried to force her into nice dresses, she would cut and tear them up and dirty them to her liking. When she went to nice parties, she would spoil them with her dark humor and intentional lack of manners. When she was ten, her parents were fed up and tried to send her to therapy, but even that failed. Unlike Maria, Juliet had a mind of her own. Her parents gave up, let her dress how she preferred and do what she wanted, but still try as best they can to make her ladylike.

Juliet loves science and the haunted. She uses her parents' money to buy herself ghost-hunting equipment, as she is positive that the Kernaghan house is teeming with ghosts. Since she cannot decorate her bedroom or hold experiments in it, she has found a spot in the attic to use as a 'lab'. In there are doodles and books and papers and maps and loads of science experiments. She once created what seemed like a harmless hair-dye solution, so to test it out Juliet put green streaks in Maria's hair while she slept. Her parents were livid, but there wasn't much either of them could do other than wait for it to grow out. Juliet has her lab locked up and keeps the key in her shoe.

The only other person who has seen Juliet's lab is her one and only friend, Josephine (*SincerelySunny 's OC). Josie is very similar to Juliet - they both stand out among the others in their town, both love to pull pranks on the dull people that live there. Juliet and Josie go on ghost hunts at night throughout the Kernaghan house and other places around town that might contain ghosts. Juliet is more outgoing and vocal, where Josie is darker and more closed-off. Maria sometimes tags along with them, but they make her carry their stuff or use her as a guinea pig.
