Description

I didn't do anything wrong..did I?
I did everything I was told, I even took care of my baby sister.
I'm not sure if she even is my sister.
I didn't complain when she would neglect to feed me over her.
I never complained.
Why is mother leaving me here?
Where is here..?

"Mother..?"
Nuka flinched as his mother growled at him.
His head was fuzzy and felt like it was spinning but he faintly heard his mother speaking about how she was leaving him here for some other pride.
His mouth was getting dry as he faintly heard her mutter something about getting caught by predators.
He looked down at his baby half-sibling. She was barely able to crawl yet and she was just dumped there with him.
He didn't even know how to hunt yet, let alone for two people.
He looked back up at his mother as she started getting further and further away.
He was now hyperventilating, mind racing for a solution to this.
Zira would often threaten to leave Nuka out when he spoke out of line but she never took it this far.
Somehow he knew this wasn't just another one of her 'lessons'.

MEW!!

Being scared out of his thoughts, he looked down at his baby sister again.
This time scowling.
"Vitani, shut up I know you are hungry! We are BOTH hungry! I don't have any milk 'tani you are just going to have to deal with it for now."
He felt a bit bad for yelling but he was right. They both haven't eaten in ages. Zira had been too busy focusing on coping with the loss of something, though Nuka wasn't sure exactly what that was.
Nuka was never really filled in on a lot of the stuff going on around him, especially since Zira would keep him away from everyone else.
He had a hunch, though, that it was about his father. Nuka never met his father, but he would hear Zira muttering about how useless some lion is.
She would spread lies about his father saying he was a deadbeat father and how he would manipulate her.
He was also told a lot that he looked just like him.
Hearing that made him very uncomfortable.

Maybe it was his fault that his mother had abandoned not only him but Vitani as well.
Nuka curled up with a restless Vitani and softly sobbed as he waited.
For another pride to show up or for nature to take its course, he didn't know.

Oh.

This is what she's leaving behind.

Poor Nuka, Poor baby Vitani.
He's barely old enough to hunt for himself let alone provide food for a newborn cub.
Zira has left Nuka and Vitani at the border of a desert.
She then made her way back to the Pridelands, childless.
Poor Nuka was left there stunned, Motherless.
Eventually, he picked up the courage and trekked his way to the Tree of Life border.
Eventually, he was to be found by a very concerned snow leopard.
