Description Chap. 3
Alexandria wandered down the sidewalk slowly with a couple of her friends. Most of her friends were dressed with tight, slim pants and low cut, cute shirts. She had decided to take it down a notch that night. She wore her normal, blue denim, flare, low waist, jeans and a tank top with a black peace sign set right in the middle of the chest.
"Alex....?" her friend waved her hand in front of her face. Alexandria shook her head quickly realizing that someone was talking to her. She wasn't paying attention and had missed what her friend had said the first couple times.
"oh...I'm sorry, what was that...I wasn't quite here...did you see that guy?" she pointed to a mysterious looking man across the street walking, like he didn't have a care in the world. Her friend laughed and shook her head
"Alex, that's who I was trying to point out...isn't he....I don't know...beautiful?" she giggled. Alexandria nodded again staring off at the guy walking by. He was about six foot, and very built. he had a long brown trench coat on and had jet black hair. She couldn't see his eyes, but as she watched he turned his head towards her way, and gave a small smirk. His eyes gleamed, they were ice blue and perfect. she almost tripped and gasped grabbing onto her friend in front of her. she looked back as she caught herself and he was gone.
"Alex, you okay!?" her friend laughed, "wha'd you trip on?" she giggled. Alex shook her head and shrugged.
"I don't know! did you see that?!" she seemed shocked
"see what?"
Alexandria shrugged and sighed "nevermind." she took a quick look back and caught a glimpse of him again and then he was gone just as fast. She sighed and continued walking with her friends. 5 minutes later, Alexandria and her friends stopped at the front of a small Chinese place on the main street. They dissapeared inside. Jackson wandered back down the street now hanging closer to the alleys and being alittle less noticable. That girl had noticed him and he had her her thoughts in his own mind. She liked his look. Of course, she liked his look, not only are her hormones raging and he was more than a decent looking guy, but he was a vampire, humans had a natural attraction to them. He was beautiful to that group of girls. Maybe he could get an entire 4 course meal out of them. They would be so easy, almost too easy. Jackson chuckled to himself and continued on down the street towards the chinese restaurant the 4 girls had just dissapreared into. He stood out front and watched the humans scurrying from place to place with their umbrellas held tight. Inside the restaurant Alexandria and her friends ordered their drinks and then continued on to order their meals. After the waitress walked away with their orders, Alexandria stood and sighed, "I'll be back, I'm going out front to smoke." she grabbed the box of ciggarettes and shoved them in her pocket walking towards the door. Outside, stood one man, leaning against the wall smoking also. Alexandria squinted her eyes to get a better look. It was the guy who had walked by earlier with the eyes. She clumsily reached down to grab the box from her pocket and missed her pocket the first couple times and then finally dug in and pulled them out juggling it to the other hand and pulling one out, then quickly replacing the box back in her pocket. Then she started searching for her lighter. She checked the left front pocket, nothing, then the right, nothing, then the left back pocket, again nothing. Then she felt someone looking at her, that odd sensation you feel when someone is watching you from behind. She slowly closed her eyes and opened them back up and turned slowly around. The man that had been leaning against the wall now stood a foot behind her and had his hand reached out towards her. He held a lighter in his open palm. Alexandria nodded and thanked him quickly grabbing the lighter and using it and quickly handing it back.
"nah...you can keep it" he smiled
"I don't need it...." she was cut off
"and I don't either, so keep it" he raised a brow
"okay..." she sighed and stuffed it into her back pocket. A steady silence followed, with a few intakes of breath and then letting the smoke out slowly. The guy was back leaning against the wall and had his eyes closed. Alexandria was staring at him, since he couldn't see her why not. She started at his head, clean cut hair, a little longer, so that little wet streaks hung on his forehead. Hair was jet black, and he was clean shaven. Then, onto his chest. His trench coat was open, so his skin tight black shirt underneath stood out. He had a very muscular body; he looked like he was very strong. Then down again, then all of a sudden,
"So...am I nice to look at?" he smirked
"Huh?" Alexandria turned a bright pink and quick looked the other way, cursing herself for not paying more attention to things. Jackson chuckled and shook his head.
"I wasn't watching you look me over for long...but I figured, when you got down there," he glanced down and smirked again, "I should probably say something...." he stood up straight and adjusted his trench coat, "well, I know I would feel pretty embarrassed if I were caught staring at...well you know what I mean..." he sighed and looked around "So, what's your name?" Alexandria was caught off guard. She had no idea what to say, almost like he had taken all the words out of her mouth.
"uh...u...h..we..lll..."
"uhwell? That's an interesting name...I've never heard that before." he raised a brow confused
"NO!...I mean, my name is Alexandria" she choked out. Jackson nodded and smiled
"pretty, my name is Jackson" he held his hand out and then stopped. "what time is it?"
Alexandria pulled her cell phone out of her pocket and check the time. "almost 4:00, why?"
"Just wondering..." he smiled and nodded "well, nice meeting you, maybe I'll see you again..." Before Alexandria could protest, he was gone. She looked confused and looked up and down the street. Nothing. Oh well, she dropped her butt on the ground and smashed it out with her foot and then headed back into the restaurant.
Her friends just continued on not even noticing that she was now a little spaced out and thinking about something completely irrelavent to what they were now talking about. "yeah...today, Jarrod said that he wanted to hang out with me tomorrow.."
"yeah? that's funny, Jarrod Thomas? He asked me yesterday, what I was doing today..."
"what?!"
"yeah, I blew him off though..because he is an ass, " the girl shrugged. That was the only part of the conversation Alexandria had paid any attention to. Most of her friends didn't really care about anything else other than boys, social status, and sometimes grades. They were usually bickering about the new love interests of each of the girls. Sometimes they were the same, and that always posed a problem. She normally would stay out of those things. She hated being in the middle of those fights. Going back and forth and hearing her friends talk crap on the other and not being able to tell her other friend. So, she just ignored it. Her mind floated somewheres else. Who was he? Where did he come from? Has he been around long? How old is he? She had so many questions that she knew she couldn't get the answer for. Her friends hadn't seen him. Later that evening, after the girls had finished up their dessert, they headed out into the streets to go window shopping.

Chap. 4
The next day came along and Alexandria and her friends returned to school. She went from first period, to second and continued. The entire day seemed to go so slow that she almost fell asleep in her math class until her teacher walked by and slapped her desk with a ruler. All she could think about was the man she met in the city the night before. She had hoped she could meet him again, but then thoughts came to her mind. There's no way that I'll meet him again. No way at all. Her day ended simply. She went to her locker, got her things she needed to take home and then quickly walked down the hallway to her car. When she got home, she went into the house and called her mom.
"Hey Mom"
"Hey honey, make it quick I'm going into a meeting soon"
"Okay, Jade come over tonight?"
"who honey?"
"My friend...Jade"
"oh yeah, i don't care."
"thanks love you bye!"
"bye honey"
She hung up the phone quickly and then picked it back up dialing her friend's number even quicker.
"Jade!" I screamed when she answered the phone.
"Haha, I guess it was a yes"
"yup"
"alright I'm coming over now"
The two girls hung up the phone and then Alexandria turned around to go put her clothes away. About a holf hour later Jade knocked on the door and came inside. Alexandria came bounding down the stairs and laughed. They hung out around the house for a little and then became bored. They decided to have a bonfire, so they had to go back into the woods to get wood. It was already 7:30 so they had to head out right at that moment, because it got dark around 8:00. They headed out the back door to the gate that opened out into the woods. The girls continued farther out into the woods ignoring the atmosphere around them because they were too sucked into their own conversation. It was dark when they had finally gathered wood and had a bunch of it under their arms. All of a sudden they heard a rustling of leaves that sounded like someone walking.
"Alex, what was that?" she glanced around as it became very quiet.
"probably a squirrel" Alex looked up at the sky.
"You sure? because that definatly sounded...like...like.. not a squirrel" she sighed
"Yeah I mean, what else could it be?"
"I don't know"
"yeah"
They continued to walk in silence and again came a small rustle of leaves. Alex glanced around hoping to find the culprit. Nothing could be seen from where she was so she shrugged it off. Alex looked down at the ground so she could try and catch the roots on the ground so she didn't trip when she heard Jade stop and try to whisper her name. She also stopped and looked up. What she saw was horrifying.
The figure of a man stood off to the side next to a tree. The figure also included a shape that looked like a limp body. The man was bent over the body of the other figure. Alex’s mind went wild seeing pictures on books and on the internet and history. Vampires were the subject of all these pictures. Vampires bent over their victims and sucking them dry of blood. She accidently gasped and before she realized and could keep it in it came out. The figure looked up and Alex didn’t stay long, she grabbed Jade’s hand and ran off heading towards the opening in the woods. When she got to the opening of the woods with Jade she hit a hard wall and bounced back a bit. In front of her was the man she had met the night before. He looked a little confused and then smiled, “What’s going on? What are you running from? You look like you’ve seen a ghost” he looked over their shoulders trying to see into the woods.
Alex could do nothing but stammer “wh…where…did you come from?” she looked behind her hoping what or whoever it was, wasn’t following them.
He shrugged “I was walking down the street and heard someone running like…they were in trouble. I love being the hero” she smiled a crooked smile.
“What were you doing walking down my street?”
“My dad lives around the corner, went out to get some fresh air”
“oh.”
Jackson chuckled again. Alex smiled completely forgetting about the scenario that had just occurred. She looked at Jade and Jade just scratched her head and shrugged. Then she looked from Jackson and then to Alex again “who’s that?” she smiled. Alex looked at Jackson and finally fell out of some sort of daydream.
“oh! Jade, I met Jackson like last week when we were in the city. I went out front to smoke and there he was.” Alex nodded. Jade seemed a little weird about the whole situation, she was fiddling and putting her hands in her pockets.
“So, Alex, what was going on back there? Why were you running out of there like a bat out of hell?”
“We thought we saw something but…I think we just imagined it” she shrugged
“What did you think you saw?”
“I don’t know”
“how do you not know?”
“we only saw a quick glance and it looked scary so we ran.”
“oh, hm” he thought for a moment and laughed “ok, well I have to head back to my dad’s house he’s waiting on me, he wanted to play checkers.” She smiled and turned to walk away and then turned back “see you guys later maybe”
Alex and Jade both nodded and began walking to the house and then said goodbye at the same time to him. When they got inside, Jade whipped around and said “ALEX! Who was that? I didn’t like him one little bit, he was weird! There was a strange feeling I got around him.”
“I didn’t, he seemed pretty normal to me” she shrugged
“it was just weird that right after we saw…that…thing, he appears.”
“he was walking, his dad lives around the corner.”
“and you believed that? I can tell when someone is lying and he was good at it, but I saw a change in his face.” She sighed. “but even weirder, I think he did it on purpose”
“Jade, come on what are you talking about?”
“I think he was trying to get us to figure out he was lying, without actually…I don’t know” Jade stopped and waited for Alex’s response. Alex laughed and shook her head.
“Jade, I think that sounds just a little crazy, maybe it was just our imagination that made us see that…whatever it was.” She rolled her eyes and grabbed a hold of the banister and started taking the stairs two at a time, with Jade following close behind. When they reached her room, Alex pushed the door open and took the few steps over to her bed and sat down. Jade walked over to the computer desk next to the bed and spun the chair around and sat on it backwards facing Alex with her forearm on the back of the chair and her chin resting on her forearm. “For all we know, he could be at the window watching us, right now, at this very moment.”
“Oh, stop it. Don’t tell me you’re paranoid.” Alex laughed.
“Just saying.” Jade smiled and laughed also.
At that moment they both glanced over at the window and laughed together. Then the girls returned to giggling and talking about the afternoon that had just passed. Right outside of the window. Floating right below it was Jackson, not watching, but listening and chuckled to himself.
