Niamh is a curious creature, with her father's head for politics, and her mother's social graces. Although she isn't spotted, her cream coat and warm eyes have assured that she is well within the bounds of princessly beauty, much to her parents' approval. Her tutelage has been overseen by her proper mother, and Niamh has adopted many of her traits, such as her confidence in fine company, and her obedient exterior. Her father has had some influence edgewise, leading Niamh to embrace her more academic side and pursue a subtle interest in the happenings at court. However, as she's gotten older, Niamh has developed her own traits, independent from either parent; she is a cunning and materialistic doe that seeks to land herself in a lofty position for the sake of her future children. She doesn't dream of a position as extravagant as queen, but something like-minded would do.

History:

Born the first child of her parents' union, Niamh was welcomed as the first truly "proper" daughter that Lord Barnaby had produced thus far. She has a myriad of older sisters who were very much at her beck and call, but her mother insisted that she have little do with them, for fear their strong-headed tendencies, or their dark coats, would have a negative impact on Niamh's later chances on being betrothed to a good lord. As a young fawn, she was attached to her mother at the hip, and would accompany Lucille most everywhere she went. She was socialized at a very early age, and made friends easily.

Although her father was often busy with his lordly duties, he always made time for Niamh. Their time together lead to a deep affection for her father, and now that she is older, her sisters as well. Her family as a whole became increasingly important to her, and as she neared the time of her betrothal, she was concerned about having to join another family. She made the best of their time together, accompanying her father and trying to heed her sisters' well meaning (but conflicting) advice.

However, it would be unnecessary to jump through hoops to stay close to them, for her betrothed was as warm with her family as he was with her. Lord Luxferre believed in family above all else, and desired that his bride should think of him as yet another addition to her growing family. It is with this in mind that Niamh has raised two beautiful girls, and hopes to have more on the horizon.
