I've been planning a realistic Trafalgar Law for ages but I never really got round to doing it. I'm trying to move away from just doing 'anime' and vary the style and content of my work as I feel that I need to start exploring other areas. I really want to improve at drawing realistically (or as realistically as possible) because I really enjoy drawing like this and it's likely it'll be more useful in future. A lot of the work I do now is probably going to be tonal pencil because I prefer using them at the moment to coloured pencil.Please tell me what you think of this work as it's the first time I've tried to draw a realistic anime character. I used tonal pencil and coloured pencils for the eyes. What other One Piece/anime characters should I try realistically???

Gaaawd I love that so freakin much! I'm also working at "drawing realistic stuff" but it's so damn hard... It's incredible! The same goes to Ace's drawing, I really love it.Β Β

I'm practicing so hard but...it just doesn't looks good xD I always have problems with drawing the nose

Oh those damn noses....I hate drawing noses!!! I think the nose takes the longest amount of time to draw and then colour/shade T_T Thanks, i'm drawing Zoro but i'm not too sure who to draw after that

It's pretty annoying to make them look "realistic". xD I always screw it up ;- ; But I think you did a good job on it! And the shading is amazing.

it my look bed that is why I did draw it and a Rl luffy wolde look nice to and many things I cant do

Doffy and Law were very similar to each other as kids (after Law lost his family) so I can see why Doffy was interested in having Law in the Family in the first place.

The texture on this is amazing!
The hat and the contours around the mouth are so detailed... Also this is gonna sound totally strange but that is a very well drawn and positioned ear....

Aha, thank you!! I loved drawing the hat but it took ages. I swear that ear was going to be the death of me....I couldn't get the tone right and it still looks too light xD

This looks really good! It has a clear sense of anatomy and good even shading.
If you want a real challenge try Brook or Franky, otherwise I'd do Zoro.

I've been thinking about Brook (just draw a skull with an afro and a cravat) but I don't think i'd be able to manage that Β

I think that it came out pretty good for your first realistic piece, although the tip of his nose is a little off.
I think you should try to draw either Ace, Zoro, or Shanks.
