—Scarears has feared death more than anything else since she was a kit. When she received a prophecy from her mother in StarClan foretelling her fairly obvious demise, she attempted to run away from it. She ended up making some very bad decisions in the process, however, and death managed to catch up to her in the end. In her final moments, she says goodbye to her little sister.
Hawkears(the brown tabby mourning Scarears) belongs to my sister,

Scarears + Hawkears

“Scarears!”

Hawkears’s disdainful cry split the night air as she rushed over to the collapsed form of her sister. The dark gray she-cat was lying on her side, submerged by blades of blood-sodden grass, her chin rested over one of her paws. Hawkears couldn’t help wincing as she laid her eyes on the newly inflicted gash scored across Scarears’s neck as blood welled around it, the warm, crimson substance slowly trickling down and merging into separate pools on the earth.

“Hawkears...”

Scarears gasped, finding it rather difficult to breath. Her pale, olive-green eyes were stretched wide with fear.

“I’m sorry... I’m sorry, I-I tried, I-“

Hawkears shook her head, her crestfallen, blue eyes clouding with tears as she cut her sentence off.

“Shhshh. Save your breath... It’s okay, you’ll be okay.”

“Hawkears.”

Scarears shifted her gaze toward her sister.

“I’m scared...”

The words pierced Hawkears like jagged, lethal claws. In all the moons Hawkears had known her, Scarears had never admitted to being fearful of anything... yet here she was, sprawled helplessly over the ground, allowing those words to slip out right between her fangs. Hawkears didn’t know how to respond to that.

“I don’t want to leave yet... I-I’ve seen and done h-horrible things, where will I end up once I go? W-What if I never see any of you again?”

Hawkears pressed her paws onto her sister’s wound, applying pressure in an attempt to slow the bleeding. She had seen Nightsong perform the action on her patients from time to time.

“That’s not gonna happen, I told you, y-you’re going to be fine... you’ll wake up after a night’s rest, a-and we’ll all have a good laugh about this.” The brown tabby she-cat said firmly while a few tears began to escape her eyes.

Scarears adopted a half-grin, convulsing nauseatingly.

“Y-You were always good for a laugh, sis... but you never did have a knack for lying.”

Hawkears’s bottom lip began to quiver as she continued to apply pressure, her creamy-white paws had melted into a scarlet hue in just a few moments.

“Hawkears, listen to me...”

Her vision foggy and translucent from tears, Hawkears turned to look into the sorrowful eyes of her older sister. Scarears sighed.

“The hardest thing about living in this world is... living in it. Be brave, Hawkears. Don’t make the same dumb mistakes I did... Just, live. For me.” The dark gray she-cat rasped.

awkears couldn’t stop them. The tears she had been holding back this whole time began cascading down her face like a waterfall emerging from the rims of her optics. “No, no, no, no, no. Don’t leave me, Scarears don’t you dare leave me again! You’ll be fine! You’re going to be fine, I promise!” The brown tabby she-cat sobbed, her unusually fluffy ears crushed against her cranium. “I promise...”

Scarears’s breathing began to grow more shallow with every attempt.

“I love you, little sis...”

“I... I love you too...” Hawkears leaned over her sister, her tears splashing onto the she-cat’s dark pelt, luminated by the corona of the silvery moon overhead.

“Scarears, p-please! I already lost you once....”

Scarears offered Hawkears a reassuring smile. “Don’t worry about that... I’m afraid you’re never gonna get rid of me. N-Not that easily.”

“Scarears-“

“It’s okay... it’s okay... I- I think I’m done now.”

Hawkears’s eyes widened, before she nodded solemnly. “O-Okay. Y-you rest now, and don’t worry about Brambletuft and me... we’ll b-be okay.”

Scarears’s gentle grin remained, gradually reducing in size. “See you... when I see you then...”

Hawkears squeezes her eyes shut as she heard Scarears release what she knew was her sister’s last breath. The dark gray warrior’s head fell limply against her right fore-paw, her smile disappeared, and the lively shine in her eyes faded into emptiness as her green visionaries stared aimlessly up at the blanket of indigo sky, caressed by arrays of glistening stars.

”We’ll be okay...”

That was the last time Hawkears would ever tell a lie to her sister.

— I really wanted to write a short story with this drawing as well, because I realized I’ve never actually written out Scarears’s official death scene. Well, here it is!
