Well written.
I think it is hard to create a powerful story with so little words, but you have accomplished this.

I'm glad you think I did a good job here, you're right, it really isn't easy to put something in so little words, and in a foreign language it's even more difficult.

It is a lovely image to think of them dancing, I shall always be reminded of this whenever I see umbrellas on a busy street

Yes, it often looks like they are dancing, especially from my balcony, when I look down on them. And when people hurry to get somewhere more or less dry.
