I agree with Deoradhain - Its probably a P-51 C Mustang, with a Packard version of the Rolls-Royce Merlin 60 engine.

You dont see very many early to mid model mustangs left around. I'm guessing this is probably a C model before they put the Malcolm Hoods on them.
