I really celebrate this!
I celebrate my nearly 16 years old love for the Arthurian Legend with this drawing – and the fact, that the flame never burned much brighter than now.
This portrait of young Arthur Pendragon should’ve been my first drawing of him, I think. Those sad eyes… I think you could see the burden, the cross he’s got to bear due to his leader-/kingship. And I also hope you could see, how much I love this character. It’s not Bradley James’ acting alone. It’s the character of this “Once and future king” that fascinates me for decades now. So this one was really a piece of my heart to do
.I used 3 different photos of “Captain Wow” Mr. James for reference: One for the pose, one for the shadows and highlights and another one for his lips/mouth.
The hair: All mine. 
I love to draw hair… 
So this isn’t exactly a copy of one picture of him.
I used pencils up from 2HB to 6B and black colored pencils.
Hope you like it anyway.
It’s far from perfect. But I think I’m on the right way. I’ll practice much more often now

A pretty impressive drawing, whether it's portraits I can help a bit and I just add that: * The symmetry of the nose is a bit lopsided * The separation between it and the mouth is slightly elongated. * Both eyes are of different sizes * Try a gradient in the eyes with the pencil, because at first glance does not seem real. * In no armor cleaning (especially in the shade), tries to draw a complete and long A little advice: I am interested to see your level of assertiveness on the link of the original image, for next time: D I hope my criticisms serve you! regards

Thanks a lot for your time and the critique! This is definetly giving me help for future projects. Because it was not exactly a copy of one photo of the actor (in fact I had three of them), I decided not to link them. But I'll think about it next time. Thanks for mentioning the little failures concerning the eyes/nose/lips. Sometimes I sit before my work and think, that something doesn't seem to fit - but I don't know exactly what it is. So this helped a lot! Thanks again^^

I know I love him so much he's so gorgeous and I love watching him behind the scenes. I also love Colin, he's so sweet and gorgeous. Ah I could talk about them all day.

Of COURSE I've seen it in the internet! All the latest episodes. I'm so... sad and flattered. All in one. I find myself liking Mordred much more that I've expected. I love how the relationship between him and Arthur grows. It will hurt like hell if he turns his back on our beloved king... >.<

I know, i couldn't believe it when I heard, but Colin and Bradley are all saying the series has run its course. I will be sad when it ends, I hope they star in another good series. Although they said there might be a movie trilogy which would be amazing. Yeah I hope they do for you,that would be so amazing. I wonder if they do any in the UK?

Yeah, I think something or someone will upset Mordred a lot in the next episode. My theory is, that Mordred gets a love interest, a girl who is a sorceress. And for some reason Arthur is forced to sentence her to death. And so... Mordreds hatred against Arthur grows, so that he will at last kill him at Camlann. I REALLY don't want to see that... I don't wanna see Arthur fall... This, despite the fact that I KNOW that he has to die according to the lengend, will totally break my heart.
Dunno how Merlin fits in my theory, so I think it will turn out different. But yeah... That's what I think so far what's coming up.
I've actually heard from what Brad, Colin and Katie said in some interviews, that there wouldn't be movies, because all of the story has been told when the series ends and no one could imagine, what the storyline of a movie should be about. (Aw... My english isn't the best... I'm sorry, hope you know what I mean...>.<)
But still... I don't give up the hope. And yes, it would be so great if they star in another series - so that we fans here in germany could get the chance to see them again too. Oh PLEASE!
Oh there are more options for the fans in the UK as here in Germany to see them on conventions, I think. They nearly always were at the London Expo the last years, I've seen a lot of films an pics about it. So this is what I hope they do next year one last time for Merlin. (I would fly to London, if they do so!) Or the Soccer Six Events. The knights used to be there the last years. It would be great if they ever come to us here in Germany, so that we could meet them here, at the Fantasy days or the Ring Con or something like that. All is possible! But not yet sure. So my hope stretches in every possible direction now.
