Note: No, for those of you who found this randomly, it isn't an accurate representation of my artistic style or talent. This was a ten-minute dot-eyed-chibi sketch that I did for fun and to do something while I was on my artist's block. Those of you who visit my gallery know this.
I am thoroughly addicted to Ouran High Host Club right now. It's such an awesome show. The cast of characters are great. No two are alike...except for the two who are alike, and even they're different. The twins are my favorite character. Lol. (I like Kaoru the best.)
If you don't know the show, WATCH IT!
Characters are: Tamaki (With the crown); Haruhi (The confused one in the middle. Yes, this is a girl.); Mori and Honey, with cake and bunnies for Honey on the right of Haruhi; The twins, Kaoru and Hikaru, in that order under Haruhi; and Kyouya all by his lonesome with his moolah in the bottom right.
Tamaki came out the best, in my opinion, and I love his scary heart. Mori and Honey aren't too great, and I hate Honey's hair in this. Kyouya makes me laugh, and I love the twins.

Yeah, 'tis true. It's just always bizarre to see that a character I like is actually popular. I have a sad history of loving unappreciated underdogs.

Haha! xD I know what you mean, though. It doesn't happen to me a lot, I think mostly because there aren't really very many characters that I DISLIKE, but sometimes I don't understand why nobody likes my favorite character. 8]
Then there are times when I love them just because they ARE the unappreciated underdogs x3

There are a few characters that I really despise, but for the most part, I like pretty much everyone. My problem is that I get kind of obsessive over characters I really like, and I want to see fanart or read fics on them, which a lot of times is hard to do because they're so unappreciated. Kaoru is one of the few exceptions to that rule.

Fujin from FF8
RenoxRufus from FF7 (who USED to be really overlooked, but who've really grown in popularity since Advent Children)
Freya from FF9 (I love Vivi, too, but people lurve him)
TerraxEdgar from FF6 (I'm a Final Fantasy fan, can you tell?)

Well, I've never actually played Final Fantasies VI or IX, so I don't know those people (xD only VII, VIII, X, X-2, and XII, and I know Vivi because who doesn't know Vivi?!) but wow, you like Fujin? You're right on that, I don't know many people who like Fujin. I don't particularly mind her, though! 8D; And yeah, you gotta love RenoRufus. I've played VII AFTER Advent Children came out, so I guess I fall under the category of never having NOT known them as a popular pairing.
I've just reread that last sentence, and it sounded a lot more intelligent in my head.
Anyway.
My favorite characters amount to WAY too many .. but as for very noticably unloved characters, one of them that stands out to me as I rack my brain is Tidus, from FFX. NOBODY LIKES HIM 'CAUSE HE'S WHINY. xDD; Also, Rikku. If she were real, I would've attached myself to her. Another one is Jean Havoc, from FMA - is it me, or what? I used to think he was a favorite of people, and all my friends - almost all - adore him, but then all of a sudden, he wasn't. >3
Umm .. let's see, Haru from Fruba doesn't get nearly as much love as he should, and oh! MISA AMANE. From Death Note. Everyone hates her. Not a ton of people like Raito/Light as much as I do, either. And the funny thing is, I positively detest Near, Mello, AND L. NO, THAT DOES NOT SAY *ANYTHING* ABOUT MY CHARACTER. O__O; (though I do wonder, why do I love the two Kiras and hate L .. ?)

In Kodocha, I'm also the only one I know who thinks Sana and Rei are ADORABLE, never mind the pedophile-ness that would indicate. I don't mean like THAT, you know, I just think her crush on him is too cute!

In my opinion, FF6 is one of the best in the series. It's definitely lacking in the graphics department, originally being an SNES game and all, but, as far as the characters go, it has one of my favorite casts. Edgar is my absolute favorite, and he's very unloved, himself. Most people like Terra by herself, or are more concerned with Locke and Celes, both of whom I'm not too fond of (though I don't hate them, either.)
FF9 is really overlooked. Poor FF9.
Oh, and to add to my FF8 craziness, my favorite couple is FujinXRaijin (they are not brother and sister, IMHO). Yet I hate Seifer. He's an arrogant prick, and Rinoa is one of my least favorite FF characters...Ever. I love Zell.
I actually really like Tidus. He's not one of my absolute favorites, but I do like him a lot. I don't think he's whiny, really. He has perfectly good reason, in my opinion, to be upset. In FF10, a couple of my favorites are Elma and Rin (talk about REALLY unloved), and in 10-2, my favorite coupling is PaineXGippal. Yeah. See what I mean?
I like Rikku, too. Again, not one of my faves, but I like her. Out of the main cast, I like Lulu and Wakka best. My friend ~chiz , on the other hand, loves Rikku, so you're not alone.
I don't really know much about FMA, but from what I've seen, I like Envy. He makes me happy.
The only other anime/manga i know in that group is Deathnote. I need to catch up on it, though. I'm really behind. I'm an L fan, myself, but I like Raito. I haven't gotten to Misa, Mello, or Near, yet, so I can't give my opinions on them, although the fact that Misa refers to herself in third person annoys me. Sorry.
I know a lot of people who like Demyx, myself included, and I'm very much an Akuroku fanatic. Together and apart. I like the entire OrgyXIII, as a matter of fact, and some other faves are Luxord and Xigbar. I'm also one of the rare people who actually likes Kairi and Namine.
Hmmmmmm...Oh, here's one you've probably not heard of, but I'll give it a shot (I'm very much a gamer, not an anime watcher): Luccia from Chrono Cross. There is a total of less than 20 fanarts of her on the internet, seriously, and most are really bad. Flea and Lucca from Chrono Trigger are awesome, too, even though I don't really like the game. I actually like Cross better, which is rare in itself.
Yeah, I'll stop. Mine's getting insanely long, too. Hope I didn't burn your retinas out!

i actually haven't heard all that much (as in, pretty much nothing at all) about ffvi, but from what you're saying i think i'll try to get my hands on a copy. i've no idea how i'll manage that, but hey! (:
lol, yeah. i've actually heard good things about ffix, though. vivi and garnet are the only characters i'm familiar with
fujin and raijin, eh? xDD; i like them too! probably not as much as you, but .. anyway, I DON'T LIKE SEIFER EITHER. every time he came on screen, i wanted to stick my foot through it. D; which was, unfortunately, too many times for my poor television to handle. (; rinoa, imo, wasn't too bad .. a bit too much of a damsel-in-distress type for me - a bit annoying, but altogether tolerable. her and squall make some good fanfiction.

your view on tidus = exacterly. a ton of people think tidus is so whiny and annoying, and i'm all, what are you talking about? i bet you'd be a hell of a lot worse if you were in his situation.
RIN, THOUGH! i LOVE rin. his accent is like, the coolest thing i've ever heard. i don't, unfortunately, like elma much. she's just another npc to me, sorry! D:
paine and gippal are way cute, i've read some really good stuff on them that made me like the pairing a lot. i like him with rikku better, though, but it's still cute.

[; i liked lulu, too. she's not my absolute fave, but she's pretty kickass all the same. wakka really irritated me through most of ffx, because of his prejudice on al bheds, but i can't really BLAME him for that .. towards the end, and then through to ffx-2, he gradually grew on me. (:
ahaha, ENVY! yesss! x3; envy's one of my favorite fma characters too. i'd tell you more, but i'm afraid that i might spoil some important things to you if you ever decide to watch/read/whatever more of it. i like edward the best, then havoc and roy, then envy, then alphonse (HE'S SO CUTE). but everyone loves ed, al, envy, and roy, so i'm not really special on that front. @_@
i've actually just finished the death note series .. lord, it's so good. i can send you a really good manga scan site if you want to catch up on it, it's free and everything. but, oh man, raito's my favorite character by far. ;D l is kind of beginning to grow on me, wakka-style, because his rivalry with raito is seriously one of the most interesting and complex things i've read in a manga. plus, his candy obsession is kind of adorable. xDD;
i still hate near and mello, though. i don't think anything can change on that front.
yeah, haha! i guess if you haven't met misa yet, you really are far behind. *laugh* she turns up in volume three, but you don't really meet her til four. i don't blame you for thinking she's annoying. tons of people do. i'm really not sure why i'm so fond of her, haha
oh, i love the whole orgyXIII too - except the dear old superior and vexen, because they just kind of creep me out. (; demyx, axel, and roxas are my favorites, though, like i said.

You can get FF6 on the Playstation (Final Fantasy Anthology), on the GBA (FF6 Advance), in the original SNES version (FF3, due to translation issues), or on an SNES/GBA emulator. The last isn't quite as legal as the others, though.
FF9 is definitely a good one. It has a lot of similarities to the older games in the style of the gameplay, but it has nice, although chibified graphics.
Whooo! I'm not the only one who likes all of the posse but Seifer. I thought I was the only one for a while there. -.-' I don't usually read Squinoa fics, mostly because I don't like Rinoa. I usually only read fics on couples I'm really interested in.
La-dee-da...no need to reply to some of that...hmmmm...Elma. Yeah, I'm one of the REALLY rare people who like her. She's really funny in X-2, if only because she's...I dunno, on speed or something. There's a sidequest where you can fight her, and not only does she run around, screaming, like a maniac, but she does it in HASTE. The hilarity.
Wow, you've actually found PaineXGippal fics? I've only ever seen about 2 of them. You'll have to link me to those! I'm not a huge fan of GippalXRikku, myself, because I think they're a little too much alike. I don't think they have enough balance as a couple. That's just me, though.
I like YunaXTidus. Some of the canon pairings just shouldn't be messed with, IMHO. I really, really feel sorry for Brother when it comes to Yuna, though. I kind of can't help but root for him, even though she already loves someone else and she and Brother are...you know...cousins.
Yeah, I tend to really like the more mellow female characters, a lot of times. Darker ones. Lulu, Paine, Fujin...

and you are not alone! seifer's a stuck-up ass, i think. plus, his hair supremely annoys me. XP squinoa isn't a favorite of mine, really, put it's one of my best friend's otp so she writes them all the time, and she's gotten me at least to the point where i think they're cute. ^^
and yeah, i had the misfortune to be obsessed in getting all 100% in ffx-2 (why, whyyyy? the single most frustrating thing in my life, i say) so i fought elma in that sidequest. it was rather frightening. o: haha (:

If you shop online, check Amazon. They actually have a surprising amount of hard-to-find games, and you don't have to go through the trouble of bidding on them.
GAH, getting 100% was a pain! I was off by .2 percent when I finished my first go-around and had to play all the way back through just for that...and it wasn't even worth it! :grr:

Not much else new to say. I know how it is with pairings sometimes. What I hate is when you try your hardest NOT to get obsessed with a pairing, but it happens anyway. I had that with AkuRoku. It was all the pretty fanart that did it.

Yeah, I agree completely. I did this way before I got to watching 24, though. I think I was on episode 12 or 13 when I did it. If I had made it after watching the entire series, it probably would have been a bit different.
I recognized your alias, and when you said FF.net I went "Ah-hah!" Hello! I was actually going to start working on TMG again, now that I've broken my terrible writer's block a bit. I have about half of Ch. 2 written, on 3 pages so far. It has a pretty lighter tone than the first chapter did. Here, have a teaser:
"By the way, we were cute kids. Iβm looking at a picture of us on our third birthday, and we were adorable little terrors. Weβre covered in cake and laughing.
