Description I am not an architect. Like, at all. I had no ruler at the time, either...

Took me two weeks. I kept getting so bored with it, but I still love it, and am awfully proud of it. The story below is the thought behind the illustration. I suppose it goes a long with how I've been feeling for the past couple of weeks.

Aluma and The God Ridden Chronicles (c) *morgankit

The one solitary part of the entire estate of City Central Aluma could actually find his own peace of mind in was the enormous library in the west wing. The breaker tried to visit the place every other day to check out new books and bring them to his chambers or browse through the study during the day when he had no prior engagements. The maids would greet him kindly, and he'd nod in appreciation as he fingered the top of a few books on the shelves. Children of workers and other employees would bump into him if he wasn't paying attention, but most of the time Aluma was in his own world at the back of the library.

Empty shelves and book covered walkways would greet the maids late into the evening and when he would be awaken from his trance while reading or note taking, and he'd apologize profusely for being so careless while putting everything back with the maid keepers.

Aluma would sit in the middle of an aisle, surrounded by books of all sizes and be flipping through a few at a time. Sometimes it took him hours. When he found a few dozen he was interested in, he would stack everything back where he found them, and checked out.

"You're a fast reader, aren't you?" One of the elderly maids commented. She probably hadn't been working here for long, since every other worker remember who the breaker was.

"It comes naturally, I suppose." He smiled modestly, and exited.

With Aluma's studies came much stress, and his back would be wire tense during the day. While he would be reading in his own chambers, he'd sometimes be busy with his notes and would only stop when he had to be addressed. He wouldn’t be bothered with restroom breaks or food. When Reimerez stopped in his room for company, the priest would say: "No, go on, do what you must. I'm fine just being here,", and Aluma appreciated his presence while they both flipped through their books.

Reimerez guessed that it was Aluma's way of dealing with stress; he would read and take notes, flip through art books and write short stories. His heritage was based on common knowledge and growing power, thusly making the poor amnesiac want to know more about his lost heritage and accumulate knowledge.

It would be late into the night and Reimerez yawned, shoving one thick book back in its place, preparing to excuse himself. He noted the breaker's hard concentration in his studies and moved slowly to pluck out a robe and drape it over his friend's shoulders.

The priest patted his back lightly, and left to his own chambers, muttering a small "Goodnight, Aluma."

Aluma continued to read and fill the recesses of his brain.

Architecht or not, it still rocks You would have had no problem in my drawing class Those book cases look dark enough to be charcoal, which we used and you would erase the image out of the darkened paper The shading is rocking, as I said, I can't think of many words... my poor brain X_X;;;

Yeah it's amazing as usual. I love his hair, and the window, and the books. The lines are very straight for no ruler, but that one back wall/shelf is kind of confusing me, as it seems to be existing in two directions at once. I might be thinking too hard about it though.

Thank you XD

I had trouble with the walls. Especially when I was shading; they all came out too similar.

One Word. Amazing! The shading is outstanding and the lines are really good for not using a ruler, I can ever draw a straight line without one! I am amazed by the shading and art work, great job!

that's very nice. i like it. the wall seems a bit off, and the hand holding the pencil seems awkward, but it's very well done otherwise. ^^
