I still think it is. We can all be bitches sometimes, Disney Princesses no exception and we're ENTITLED to our favourites and said favourites are entitled to special treatment. Easy as.

I think it is funny. Like you watch the movie "oh, she is such a darling" and then meet her... I enjoy those comics.
(Maybe I never care because honestly, I never liked Ariel. No offense, since she is your favorite, just different opinions and all). I like her a lot more in your comics

No it just gave them aboost Oliver and C/O really started the upward spiral. who framed roger rabid continued it. The little mermaid sealed the deal. Disney was back. Beauty and the beast blew them so far ahead they could call it a second golden age.
I got my refrence from the documentart by disney - Sleeping beauty
not the animated feature, but a documentary.

Sigh....Ariel...aren't you forgetting that Belle's movie had a (successful and actually decent) broadway production? Also, your world in "Kindgom Hearts" was the most hated one, not Belle's. Just sayin'...you're not all that great X3

Me: Technically, Ariel, the movie that saved Disney after decades of failures was "The Great Mouse Detective;" had it not been the moderate monetary success that it was, chances are all Disney movies that came after it, including "The Little Mermaid," wouldn't have been made, so if anything, YOU should be down on your sushi knees, kissing Basil of Baker Street's feet.
Ariel: Shut. Up. Bitch.

Me: I heard that it was Oliver and co that really started the upswing, The Little Mermaid made it a sure thing for disney they were back and it was Beauty and the Beast that usured in the golden age of Disney's 90s.
Belle:HA!
Ariel: you guys really aren't helping

Ariel: Didn't I tell you to shut up?

the little mermaid may have started the renaissance, but it was beauty and the beast who kept it alive after that.
it was the first animated movie EVER to be nominated for an Oscar for Best Picture.

It helped. it was the start of the second age of disney. the company was living on former glory and she paved way for many of the other princesses which is a very lucrative franchise. it didn't truly save tje company it was one of the starting factors. got Disney back in to people's minds

Well Belle's movie was the first animated film to be nominated for an Oscar - and that was back in the times when there wasn't even an animated category at the Oscars. Ariel's film wasn't even in the running.
lulz, I know it's because you like them. But still...I'm about as crazy for Belle as you are for Ariel. Maybe it would be something for Belle to shove in Ariel's face, only for Ariel to come out with something even better to top it. *shrugs* Still love this series.

I reallly don't do these anymore. Kind of run out of gusto for making my Ariel be mean. I love all the other ladies too so meh.
But yes, Ariel really helped Disney get out of the slump but Belle brought them the gold.

But Ariel's right. Her movie was to Disney what Final Fantasy 1 was to Square.
