Description
This is for the young CDF character Contest onit was inspired by the new Saga of Larten Crepsley book's (first one out at the end of the month)
Darren read out an extract of the book a while back (you can watch it here: [link] ) and this is what I based this image of.
Not sure how much I like it...tried a slightly different style of colouring and of course the perspective of that arm is a nightmare (I ended up using a reference but I cant find where that photo went -it was some stock on DA >.< ) I also tried to make the body look slightly turned in keeping with the whole perspective thing.
Yes that's Seba Nile in the background spying on Larten.
please tell me what you think
though I'm calling it a fail. I should have never tried something so ambitious for a contest attempt.

epic! I like the background details. The shadow figure behind Crepsley, the skeletons to the side... so wonderful, I almost want to jump in there and warn Crepsley to run.

Well, I thought the shadow figure bit was good too. And the perspective didn't come out as bad as you think.

I think the background colouring was nice on this but I got lazy when it came to putting in details (there should have been more bones etc at least. >.<
Iv'e just realised DA gives all my camera details on my DRAWINGS lol (thats cus I use a camera after drawing and not a scanner (will be getting one soon!) )it even says what photo shop I used DA is getting smarter lol (and more like a stalk-a-bot!)
