This one's for a true Laby fan, . This is Jareth's expression when he sees Sarah give up her dream after they dance together and right before she shatters the dream completely.Sad Goblin King.

Yes, i must agree. That beautiful sadness hiding underneath all of that haughtiness is definately showing through those eyes, reaching out like something trapped within him that he can not let free simply because he will not show weakness. I think this particular scene truly captures the climax of the ballroom scene, for in the beginning he has unmasked himself, trying in vain to show sarah the man beneath the goblin kings robe of mockery and cruelty, and in this scene, his defenses against his emotions rise again, closing himself off to the hurt he knows is coming. Beautiful! You have done it again! And I must stop looking at it before i get silly and start crying for that lovely goblin heart.

I love that!!! I agree with firstRainbowRose, he definately is trying to hard to make Sarah think that he's tough and can take it, but you can see the truth in his eyes. As the saying goes: "The eyes are the Window to the soul." He's such a hunkie-hottie! lol, I love it!

You're very welcome. When I added the light effect and the rosy hue I realised how sad he looked. Under his higher expression of "I'm not hurt" was hidden an expression of pain. I'm so glad you phrased it that way. That's exactly what happened.
