Another piece for my portfolio!! This is an illustration from the Silmarillion by J.R.R. Tolkien. It's Luthien, the first elvish woman to fall in love with a mortal man and give up her immortality to be with him. supposedly this charater was based on Tolkien's wife, and on their gravestones the names Luthien and Beren were inscribed.Related content
