Description
Typographic Anatomy (MUCH LARGER UNDER DL.)This chart was made to be printed and used for reference, not for strictly viewing on the computer (Bodoni isn't such a great screen font). I wanted it to look like a classroom poster, or one of those ones that came in the mail.
I also have an unwrinkled version because, well, sometimes I like to crumple my own posters. <3 Interested parties can download that here.
I made this as sort of a gift for Deviantart, like a tutorial, but more of a handy-hints type thing. It's meant to be more of a simple reference, not too in depth but enough to change the way someone might look at type.

I wouldn't say it's always fun XD sometimes it's so frustrating you want to burn the world! But I desperately love it, and fell so deeply in love with letters and the swiss that there's no return XD
Compare to drawing art? c: Drawing has never really been fun to me. I picked it up mostly so I wouldn't have to pay people to do it for me, I think. But I have had a lot of fun the past two weeks scribbling dragons from HTTYD, more fun than I'd ever had XD I guess it still doesn't compare.
PSHAAAAWWWWW I was certain that if I did, it would be for some doopy dragon. Keep your hopes up ;u;!!

I started drawing in middle school, but it was never great XD I only started caring when I got to college and suddenly needed to draw Seraph. Um, I don't even know what age but it was definitely late in the game like 16 (ha ha excuses)

(Lol, unlike most others here, the first thing I thought of when I saw the thumbnail for this was the Albanian word "vogël", which means "small"... It struck me as amusingly ironic because the font is so large. 
This was very educational and interesting to read, actually. I've always loved it looking at typographic art, but I know next to nothing about the workings of typography itself. It's nice to get some insight, so my thanks for making this! Very informative, and pleasing to look at to boot--makes for a lovely poster indeed.

Haha, yeah, it was more aimed at beginners/the layman XD I left a ton of stuff out for the sake of being simple (hence the sort of obvious advice in there), and keeping that giant title.
...It would be cool to make a cheat sheet with everything on it to follow though!
"Vogel" simply means "bird" in German/Dutch, I was in love with Bodoni's 'g' at the time. Thanks so much C: You don't see graphic design stuff in the DDs all that often!
