Goden Dodekmosus heroically defended Town Udilsesh against a never ending threat of undead elk for nearly 10 years untill finally losing his life in a siege in mid-autumn 312.... It's from Dwarf Fortress.

Yes.
Basically any creature can show up zombified or skeletal in dwarf fortress. Undead whales and sharks are known to be very devastating since they tend to crawl on land due to not needing to breathe.
