cupple of hours. took me 2 days to do cuz of work and drawin for an art trade but maybe 3-7 hours total

You might just use the scale tool to make it taller until it looks good. If that distorts it too much you might try the perspective tool.

on GIMP2? do u know how to make more room in the drawing space? i dunno how to and it pisses me off. thats my some of my pics have parts cut off by the walls

I'm using the GIMP 2.6 on Mac, but I feel like it's the same on PC.

Find the Image tab, click on it, and select Canvas Size. It will let you choose new dimensions for the canvas to make it bigger or smaller. There's a little button that looks like a chain that locks the ratio, so if you change one dimension it will change the other proportionally.
