I like the way the colours complement each other here, as that gives an impression of unity, but it also makes it greater in effect because it feels like you've captured it in its natural place, like... or rather, we get a greater sense of the naturalness for it to influence the atmosphere and mood overall.

I'm not particularly fond of the burnt out bits near the bottom right... other than that, it's a good shot. Perhaps you could crop it into a square, although I do feel it's good as it is in landscape. You could make a greater vignette and decrease the background a bit so that the main subject matter stands out more.

Just a few thoughts, anyway. The piece doesn't need much in terms of the post-processing, and it would be good to keep to the subtle effects of things, if that makes sense.

Thank you, thank you! I see what you are getting at. I feel I could lighten him up to separate him from the background and will toy with it around to update it. :3

Thank you for your wonderful comment~ <3

This is absolutly brilliant!

The contrast is absolutly gorgeous! I love how you've chosen to center the head instead of the body. The colours match alright... The framing is lovely, the sharpness on this pic is perfect... I mean what else can I say? This is PERFECT!

I wish our Zoo had more/better exhibits.

This one didn't have many exhibits. mostly birds everywhere but I can never get the hang of good shots because of the wire fencing.

Lol, no I meant literally when I said "our". I live in San Antonio, and I actually just got home from the Zoo and taking about 200 shots, including probably that same Addax!

Taking shots through fencing is sorta easy; you have to use a big focal length, like 200+ and get AS CLOSE to the fence as you can, and focus behind it, the fence will disappear if you're close enough and the animal is far enough away.

XD haha silly me. I didn't take very many since everything was in their little homes. I should go on a warmer day.

aah I see I see. My focal length isn't that powerful. *fails* Eventually I'll get something more powerful and try again. Thank you for the help! <3
