The first time my sister played Journey, she encountered this majestic Gandalf-esque white-cloaked figure who led her through the whole game and showed her secret stuff and protected her from monsters. Like a magical spirit guide. It was AWESOME. (We had never seen a white-cloak before.)Since then, we have figured out how to become the white-cloaked traveller and now we do the same to other players.
…Also, I realized after the fact that this is staged exactly like a Pokemon battle… And now that’s all I can think about.

I was playing this game when I saw another player in the distance, and my brother, who never played the game, asked what it was. I said, "another person", but I wasn't sure. It looked almost blended with the background and it's mesh was wrong, but I thought that it was just because of the distance. But when I finally joined him, I realized he was white, and he was very patient in showing me all of the secrets (I have a hard time getting to high places in video games a lot) and near cliff edges when I fell off. He even showed me shape writing in the snow just before the crossing. I was surprised I never noticed it before. I even got to show him how to make a star pattern. (He seemed confused when I was making it) It was awesome.

I never met a white cloak myself. q___q but after people helped me for a while and I found out what one was, I immediately wanted to get it too! Now I have it and I've taken to helping people all the time. I think that's a huge bit of what makes this game so beautiful; people helping people and passing down their knowledge to new players...and those new players pass it down to more new players...these generations of kindness makes this game so heartwarming and refreshing!

That's true. quq but I think it's fun to let them find it on their own too! That way the game "lasts" longer for them.
Sometimes the communication is hard because they don't always realize I'm trying to show them where stuff is though! Q^Q

Ah I was actually going to do my own Journey fanart. quq I'm halfway finished with one, but schoolwork kinda shoved that out the window. TuT now that I'm at home though I should be able to finish it!

Yes! And it's actually quite possible to fly infinitely when you have two people with the white robes! :> some day if I'm with another person with the white robe, I'm going to try and do the entire run flying infinitely when it's not necessary to land.

I tried, but, you can in general float "forever" no matter which robe you got, as long as you are glowing next to each other, its like the .. erhm, oh god what is it named, you know that room where you make the whole place glow and sht XD

This is so incredibly beautiful. I love how atmospheric the dust makes your art. <3 I just played through this game for the first time after months of wanting to (just got a PS3 after Christmas) and it lived up to every expectation I had. I really want to figure out how to get a white cloak (but shh, maybe I'll figure it out for myself)!

lol I totally just had my dad play it too. He had never played a video game before in his life. It was probably the funniest thing I'd seen in a month. The first time another player walked up to him, he freaked out and ran away yelling "Who is that guy?? Get him away from me!!"
