That's interesting. I've never met someone else who had even heard of Indrid Cold or the mothman/owlman. I had an experience some years ago in Colorado that led me to research it. Funny thing was it was nearly two full months before the first trailers for Mothman Prophecies started airing on television. What I saw looked very much like the sketches people drew.

Sorry I took so long to reply. I was driving through Colorado early in the morning when I looked out my passenger window and saw a glowing red orb. It appeared to shift around and when I took another look, there were two of them and that's when I realized they were eyes and were looking at me. It looked somewhat like and owl and was flying alongside my car. But it couldn't have been an owl, because it was enormous! Roughly the size of a person at 5-6 feet! Then it coasted away and disappeared into the darkness. A great while later I began to research it and came across some articles about both the Owlman and Mothman. About a year later is when The Mothman Prophecies came out to theaters.

That is an amazing story! I would have crashed the car in an attempt to find my camera, haha...but the camera probably wouldn't work, anyway...electronics have an uncanny ability to fritz out last minute around those things I hear...
It sounds like it was checking you out...similar to how I felt at the abandoned winery at the lake. I still have no idea what that was.
Are people still seeing it nowadays? I heard the sightings have lessened a bit

I was in a state of shock, really. My girlfriend was asleep in the passenger seat and I didn't wake her up until the event had been over for a few minutes and was able to find my voice. At first, I didn't tell her about it until she noticed me shaking and sweating like mad.
I haven't heard anything about it for a while. Honestly, I try not to think about it too much, cause otherwise, I'd never go outside at night. I'm not afraid of a lot of things, but whatever it was, scares the crap out of me!
