I started this the day before my birthday and I finish it the day after!
I tried a couple poses but this one was the only one that worked...sorry if it looks a little weird.I really enjoyed my birthday party! I got lots of cool gifts and I was able to see a lot of my good friends again! In the end, we went around my yard collecting fireflies! One got caught in my cat Dominic's fur! I had to carefully pull it out so it wouldn't get hurt or die. Dominic ate a firefly my boyfriend put near his mouth. It was very funny to watch the cat swallow something glowing.
So I had a great day yesterday and I hope that I'll be able to post some more art soon...

It's funny that you say your cat ate a firefly. It reminds me a lot of my dog. If there's a bug in the house, she tries to eat it. She usually licks it until it dies and then eats it. It's really creepy. If she sees one that she can't reach, she goes crazy and won't stop barking until it's gone. Even if the bug is outside the window she likes to sit near, she still tries to eat it. It's really funny to watch.
I was just camping and there were fireflies everywhere, but where we were, they were huge, so we were too scared to go near them. There were a lot of chipmunks though, and now I want to make a chipmunk character XD
I really like the way you shaded Nello's mane. It looks really good. I'm really bad at shading. it never looks real, and it looks worse when I try to make the shading look like you did here, like fur. I also like the way you drew her eyes. You always draw such pretty eyes~
