So what happens when you cross mouldyCat s with unicorngirl1 s? Well.. prolly something like this.Most of these are for sale, leave a comment or note if you want one. C: (Please don't send any payment before I reply to your comment or note, thank you!)
Important Species Specs and Rules:
They have an alternate humanoid form, though some of them may decide to remain in their UniCat form forever.
In their UniCat form, they exist with fur in all sorts of colors, they all have some kind of "cutie mark" on their chest (may appear in the same shape on different UniCats), a unicorn tail and a rainbow horn.
In very rare cases they develop wings when in puberty, but they never grow big enough for them to actually be able to fly.
Their humanoid form, in all cases, has a rainbow horn on its forehead, a unicorn tail and cat ears.
Upon adoption you have to give your UniCat a name and gender.
Cross-breeding with other species is not allowed.
This species is CLOSED for now. Me and unicorngirl1 are the only ones who are allowed to make them from scratch right now, except once you bought 2 of them - then you may breed with those and sell their kids if you want. ;3
EDIT: I think they originally came from an island called Pink Britain and for some reason quite a few of them really like eating corn....... hah

*scratches head* honestly, i wouldn't mind that.. as long as they use their own words to describe it and then drawn it all by themselves and no one takes my original artwork and mutilates it, it would be fine with me. i mean, we're talking about a little fun hobby here, not some copyrighted official well-known whatever material.
and to bring you an extreme contra-example that might make you feel offended (sorry in advance): it's like you're saying i can't make a black unicorn cat species because there can only be a white one. can't those species all co-exist in peace? ._.
also, i think mine is REALLY different, especially since they have a humanoid form per default. i mean, really, look at this mouldycat.deviantart.com/art/U… and still tell me it's like i took your sister's species and "only added wings". it's completely different - except for the fact that they are based on unicorns x cats and i don't think you can put a copyright or something on that.
as for your other comment, i don't think it's unreasonable to not want to be ripped off, but honestly, i didn't mean to rip anyone off. i just created my own thing here, had a lot of fun working on it, and now you're telling me i can't do that. it doesn't feel right to me, like I'M being ripped off now. i could go to the ends of telling you how i made a cat species with a big chest and all sorts of colors like this one over a year ago (dl.dropbox.com/u/73497057/hila… this is the prototype, i made them in all sorts of colors for other people in my forum shops on pixel-princess.net / pixel-glam.com) and now your sister's removing the big chest and adding a horn and sometimes wings to that. do you get that? it's kinda ridiculous if i said now "ohh no you can't do that, i did that before and you just added stuff to my stuff!" :/

Ok ok.. I think this has gone a bit too far. Dont get mad at her, its completly my fault I said that iv been seeing a lot unicorn cats recently. Not wanting to come across rudly but she was only taking my feeling into coniteration and I feel like it was nice to explain the point of veiw that she stated. I dont belive she was being over protecting at all really. I just didnt know what kind of responces you would give. I understand the point of veiw you put here but I think the first paragraph was enough to explain your point.. No it isnt copy written. Yes people can make combinations of animals. "I don't mean to sound mean or anything" She didnt try to come off as a person taking your artistic rights. My personal opinion this just needs to end. Im not stating im only taking her side becuse shes like a sister, im here to just say this is it. We should just end this so dont snap at her after this. Iv already talked to her. Etc. If you really need to keep this up fine, continue from my comment. All im saying is this is done and over with here. I dont want her more upset or you angry enough to post journals or block us. This was a confliction between things that happen over the internet all the time. So finally thats all I have to say this is through here.

uhmm no worries, i wasn't gonna get mad.. i'm someone who tries to shut out emotions when it comes to arguments so what is said can stay within reason and logic and doesn't evolve into some huge fight with throwing bad words at each other. >.> because i really hate fighting.. also i don't think blocking or reporting or writing hate-journals does anyone any good. i just want us to co-exist with our art, and i think it's nice that your friend stood up for you, i was just thinking it was "over-protective" because this is just cats and unicorns and i don't feel it's extremely unique or original to get the idea to combine those two since they're prolly the most mentioned animals on the internet (next to or right after ponies). please don't get mad that i said this, i do really love the idea, i just don't feel as protective of it because the internet is full of cats and unicorns anyway. if anything i'm happy to see more of it, because it's a fun little thing and i think it's cute, too.
anyway, thank you for finally coming forward and i really appreciate you saying this should be the end of this argument.

Well, everyone has a opinion.. I understand. Just remember some people can be more protective over their stuff more then their own. But the white and black Unicorn thing. XD You make a species, making them a story of what colors they can be since they are your own species, like in real life cats aren't rainbow colored. And, your Unikitties, its just a human form, I was actually going to make a human form of a Unikitty for my sister a long time ago. I think the idea of anything having a human form for creating is for fun, you can make it canon or not. but one last example of my points, its like taking this species kawiku.deviantart.com/art/New-… this person's species and adding a few things to it or changing its colors and calling it your own. I'm not sure what to do, Because, people can get reported, and I don't think I want that to happen to you. You've been here a long time and have pretty pixels. I might just drop this since you don't really seem to mind about copyright stuff. Plus, I have a weird upset feeling what your gonna say to me, I've always had people take what I have to say the wrong way. ;w;
And, I know how it feels, but you know how copyright things are now days.. And, maybe if you actually had these posted on DA and had it looks and had the powers of a Unikitty then I would understand.

mmh i don't think that species you showed as an example is a good example for what we're talking about here.. i don't really have an idea what those are, but combining something like unicorns and cats doesn't seem as unique or original to me as the one you showed me there since it feels like unicorns and cats are the most mentioned animals on the internet (next to ponies). xD that's prolly also why i wouldn't feel as protective in this case.. dunno.
also with me there's never a need to get afraid about what i might say. i might come off as harsh or "cold" (at least i've been told that quite a few times ._. sorry if it feeld that way) but that's probably really just because i'm alway trying not to get emotional in arguments, but staying reasonable/logic, becasue a civilized argument can be quite enjoyable (is that weird >.>).

well, first off to be clear, i didn't know about the existence of any other unicorn-cat makers, i didn't see them anywhere before, i didn't steal anything; i just got inspired by my own alter ego, which is a cat, and by my friend's, whose is a unicorn. 2nd, my unicats have a specific kind of horn which is the same on all of them, they have a specific tail and they all come with a humanoid form - so they're not the same as your sister's species. i don't mean to upset anyone, sorry about that, but i don't see why i should not be allowed to come up with my very own unicorn-cat species. D:

Its kinda like if I took a pokemon, like Pikachu and giving it a rainbow tail and saying its your own species of Pikachus.
