Description This is my most recent print and honestly I think it may be my best piece so far. I am trying to think about Zen and a spiritual search in this piece and I think some of that may be coming through. This took me so long to finish and I don't even know if it's done yet. I could still make it about 6 inches wider but I just do not have time in my schedule for that kind of extended madness. My fingers are now very hard from all the carving. Cheers!

This print is now availible on etsy!

Great! I like the diversity of your mark making. I came across an artist who does drypoint etchings of trees, you might like her...Christine Willcocks.

Thank you so much for giving me that name. Christine Willcock's prints are amazing, I can't even imagine how they are made. It is an interesting mixture of natural beauty and melancholy. It's interesting to see someone doing work in the same genre as me which such a different emotional charge. Thank you again.

this is so amazing.
i checked it out on your etsy shop -- i can't believe how big it is!

it's a great source of subject matter to be rendered as a relief print, too.

I confess this is probably my favorite print. LOL it ended up being the smallest piece in my show.

I was just looking at your page! You have some excellent stuff I especially love your book work and drawings. I am going to keep and eye on you

puimun In reply to mouse2cat [2009-08-27 16:44:08 +0000 UTC]

Do you have only one copy of it or did you make multiple prints?

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

mouse2cat In reply to puimun [2009-08-27 23:25:13 +0000 UTC]

I have an edition. Although this block gives me more trouble than any piece of linoleum I have ever tried to print. So the final size of my edition may end up stunted due to bizarre technical difficulties.

And I sell em! Or post them in my shop and watch them not sell... I may have it priced too high but it's been in 3 art shows now.

mouse2cat In reply to reloadme [2009-04-03 00:18:16 +0000 UTC]

lol I missed your comment! When you say scarf-business do you mean relief printing onto pre-made fabric? It's an interesting idea.

mouse2cat In reply to evanjensen [2009-03-06 11:33:09 +0000 UTC]

If you want to do that then this is the best place to get linoleum and the largest sizes around.

I am working on a 2ftx3ft print right now.

Hurray for lino star! The pressure is on now lol. I have 2 printmaking finals due a few weeks from now. And both are more challenging than this one. T_T What is wrong with me? Masochism?

I am carving every twig...
