+ First things first, the author's note...Something leads up to a life of crime, eh...? I'll be keeping that idea in mind when I look over Billyboy's parts in this, because I kinda prefer generalized statements to apply to more than just one character in a fanbase. More on that later, though, because I don't want to sabotage this lovely feedback process.
+ It looks as though telltale dreams run in the family, because whereas Alex foresaw his 'sudden but inevitable betrayal', Sheila's foreseeing her own murder as well as that of her husband. I'll see that statement and raise the telltale line 'Keep crying and I'll knock your teeth out, Em' during the later part of the novel. Judging from the book canon and the last full-length scene from the movie (him fantasizing about yet one more brutal rape of a woman), I wouldn't put it past this guy. In fact, I just might stick this idea into the end of 'Ahab' somehow, now that I'm thinking about it enough.
+ Come on, Philip, you knocked mailboxes over with baseball bats...and then did the same to the mailmen, right? RIGHT?
+ And lo and behold, there's my droog, poisonous though he may be. -_0 I see I wasn't wrong in making him hate rich people with the fire of a thousand suns. The fact that an upper-class couple has been brutally stabbed to death just confirms my thoughts on this matter. Although I'm definitely still sickened and disturbed by it, I did manage to see it coming nevertheless, because class warfare is class warfare, after all.
+ Speaking of other scary things...most of the other boys already have their gangland hats on. Way to send a shiver up my spine, m'dear.
+ However, I'm comforted just a malenky bit by my dear favorite, Peteykins. ^.^ Already he's proving to be a good lookout and problem solver, and for little Miss Angela, no less. I know what the main quasi-ship is gonna be down here, of course, but just the same I look forward to these two interacting, even if it's just as acquaintances/potential friends.

Overall, a very good start, and I hope you don't mind me saying that the image of a young Chloe Grace Moretz comes to mind, especially since this scene from 'Let Me In' where she's standing out in the snow and knocking on the protagonist's window reminds me a little of this story so far.
I just have one thing to bring up via constructive criticism...unless Georgie's got a gay crush on Alex, I'm not exactly sure he would focus on his droog's eyes like that (the 'sparkling' aspect). That seems to be something Angela would focus on instead, seeing as how I'm guessing there's loads of puppy love ahead in this. If he DOES, though, no problem...but ah, most boys generally wouldn't think that way about their buddies. Just thought I should put this out there for later.

Okie-dokie.

Yes, it seems that your supposition might be right on the money...
I'll see that statement and raise the telltale line 'Keep crying and I'll knock your teeth out, Em' during the later part of the novel. Oh, really?
Come on, Philip, you knocked mailboxes over with baseball bats...and then did the same to the mailmen, right? RIGHT?
(does her best to stifle a snicker, but without much success) PFFT!!!
...I'm afraid I don't quite get it.
And lo and behold, there's my droog, poisonous though he may be. -_0 I see I wasn't wrong in making him hate rich people with the fire of a thousand suns. Yes... Wait, are we talking about Billyboy or Alex hating rich people? I'm all confuzzled...
Speaking of other scary things...most of the other boys already have their gangland hats on. Way to send a shiver up my spine, m'dear.
Wow, I didn't know the Little Droogs' fashion statements could have such a chilling effect on some of my readers' psyches! Talk about irony!
However, I'm comforted just a malenky bit by my dear favorite, Peteykins. ^.^ Already he's proving to be a good lookout and problem solver, and for little Miss Angela, no less. And you won't be disappointed. I guarantee it!
Overall, a very good start...

Thank you very much...Thank you!

I'm afraid I've not seen that movie...but I'll take your word for it!
I just have one thing to bring up via constructive criticism...unless Georgie's got a gay crush on Alex, I'm not exactly sure he would focus on his droog's eyes like that (the 'sparkling' aspect).
Actually, I wasn't trying to make it look like Georgie was focusing on Alex's eyes like that. That was just supposed to be a description from the omniscient narrator.
That seems to be something Angela would focus on instead, seeing as how I'm guessing there's loads of puppy love ahead in this.
Ooh, all that, & then some!
Well, it was good to hear your feedback on this chapter. Enjoy reading the other chapters, & I look forward to hearing your comments & critique on all of them, as well! ^_^
