We were standing, looking out over the amazing natural-like habitat, when this Muntjac emerged, looking so fun and cute and pretty
Species: Reeve’s Muntjac (Chinese muntjak)
Latin name: Muntiacus Reevesi
Originates from southeastern China and Taiwan, but has been introduced in The Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Current status: Least Concern

…The Reeve’s Muntjac is also known as the Barking Deer, because of it’s distinctive bark.
…It’s name is derived from John Reeves, who was appointed Assistant Inspector of Tea, for the British East India Company in 1812.
