Description
When: May 16, 2017
Where: ZieZOO Volkel, The Netherlands
It's so strange seeing that this is a photo from May, and I feel like this baby Serval looks younger than he did back in April
Sure, the ears are bigger, he's differently grown into them, but that face is just adorable
Species: Serval
Latin name: Leptailurus Serval
Originiates from Africa.
Current status: Least Concern
Did you know:
…DNA studies have shown that the Serval is closely related to the African Wild Cat, and the Caracal.
…Its long legs make it able for the Serval to achieve a top speed of 80 km/h (50 mph).
…The white spots on the back of the Serval’s ears are called “ocelli” and are used to signal kittens when hunting.
