I love how Lac Alaotra Lemur Gentle Lemurs are so fluffy they always look like you'd imagine a baby would. We've never actually seen a baby of these Lemurs before, but it's definitely on our want-to-see-someday list.
This cutie had been grooming for a bit - and of course, we got a tongue-out photo out of it
Species: Lac Alaotra Gentle Lemur (Alaotrabamboemaki)
Latin name: Hapalemur Alaotrensis
Originates from northeast Madagascar.
Current status: Critically Endangered

…The Lac Alaotra Gentle Lemur is the only Lemur specifically adapted to living in papyrus reeds.
…Unlike the other Bamboo Lemurs, it does not eat bamboo, but papyrus reeds, shoots of the common reed and two types of grass.
