When you've got a long tail like Lemurs do, it can be difficult to find a good seated position. This Lac Alaotra Bamboo Lemur has it figured out though - look at that stretched out tail, that's just perfect for cleaning it
Species: Lac Alaotra Gentle Lemur (Alaotrabamboemaki)
Latin name: Hapalemur Alaotrensis
Originates from northeast Madagascar.
Current status: Critically Endangered
Did you know:
…The Lac Alaotra Gentle Lemur is the only Lemur specifically adapted to living in papyrus reeds.
…Unlike the other Bamboo Lemurs, it does not eat bamboo, but papyrus reeds, shoots of the common reed and two types of grass.
