Description
When: July 10, 2021
Where: Dierenpark De Oliemeulen Tilburg, The Netherlands
The zoo created a very nifty feeding station for the Bushbabies - there's a hole about there from the outside to the inside in which they'll stick a bottle filled with Crickets. The live Crickets fly inside, and it's a somewhat natural situation for the Bushbabies having to catch them all by themselves.
I love the pose of the Bushbaby waiting for a fresh Cricket
Species: Mohol Bushbaby (Zuid-Afrikaanse galago)
Latin name: Galago Moholi
Originates from the mesic woodlands of the southern Afrotopics.
Current status: Least Concern
Did you know:
…The Mohol Bushaby is very similar to the Senegal Bushbaby, and it was actually long considered to be its southern race. However, the two species differ markedly in their biology and no hybrids have been discovered in captivity.
