Species: Big or Large Hairy Armadillo (Bruinbehaard gordeldier)
Latin name: Chaetophractus Villosus
Originates from the southern portion of South America.
Current status: Least Concern

…It is one of the largest and most numerous Armadillos in South America.
…They are accomplished diggers and spend most of their time underground.
…Big Hairy Armadillos have a specially developed membrane in their nose to obtain oxygen from the surrounding soil particles without inhaling any of the soil itself.
